(no subject)

you know, i was thinking.
we all get on the hogwarts express in london, right?
but the train goes pretty far up north.
like, we're probably in scotland!
so when school's out, isn't it really inconvenient for everyone that lives up north to go down to london and then back north?
i mean, it's a pretty good prank, but not very nice as a every year thing.
i wonder if that's how it started.
a prank that goes on forever.
like that song!

it goes on and on and on and on
but in all seriousness
i think it depends on the family really
i mean wizarding families have way more than one way to get to their home
at least more so than muggle families do
granted a few of the students probably have friends down in london so they could camp there for a little while before going back up north again

I think you might be thinking a little too hard about this, John.
I mean, if we were muggles, then yes. This would honestly be rather cumbersome for no reason!
But we have very easy ways to get home without it taking all that much time. It's probably why no one cares to make it a huge deal.

Now, how have I never put that one together?
That's a good point, John!
But I agree, it isn't a very nice prank.
And only the person who started it can enjoy it!
Or people who figure it out like you, I guess.

CONSIDERING HOW GOD DAMN COLD IT GETS IN THIS CASTLE, WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE ACTUALLY WANT TO LIVE IN SCOTLAND?
MAYBE THEY JUST SPEND TWO MONTHS HOLIDAYING SOMEWHERE WARM OR EXCITING WHEN THEY AREN'T AT SCHOOL, HOW ISN'T THIS SOMETHING YOU THOUGHT OF?
