Thank god for the Muggle studies trip! Since I'm going on it for sure now I narrowly avoided being put into a summer tutoring program!
Mom and Dad want me to continue doing Muggle areas of study such as History, English and Mathmatics when school's not in session. It's really hard to make them try and understand the curriculum at Hogwarts sometimes. They keep thinking I'm going to "fall behind" kids my own age.

I can't explain to them how dumb this is because I'm in the top percent of my class at Hogwarts! If Hogwarts were a Muggle school I'd totally be on the honor roll.

I feel like I can't talk to them about anything anymore. They don't understand what I'm talking about when I talk about classes or what I want to do when I graduate, I can't talk to them about Quidditch because they'd think it was too dangerous of a sport.

Is this what people are talking about when they talk about teenage angst? It sure feels like it.

I'm really excited that we're going to America for a trip! I've done the Disney/Universal Studios thing and it's really fun.

Just be sure to bring tons of sunblock, a bathing suit and your coolest outfits. Florida at this time of year is really really hot and humid.

I think we should all go to the Wet N' Wild water park. I've not been to that yet but we always passed it on our way to the amusement parks and it looked awesome!

I'm so so beyond furious right now.

Guess what I came home to? A f**king flood in my apartment. Apparently one of the pipes in my bathroom came loose and it's been slow dripping for a few DAYS before I got home. There was about five centimeters of water EVERYWHERE. And being a basement level apartment it's going to take me freaking forever to dry the place out again. Oh, and now I have to re-buy some of my furniture too. I hate shopping for stuff like furniture.

This shit has ALSO ruined two of my good amps, my X-box, my sterio and a bunch of my recording stuff. Good f**king thing I have insurance. I need to replace my electronics immediately though and I hear insurance takes forever to clear.

I'm just really glad I left my electric guitar on the kitchen table after I was done re-stringing it over Easter. That thing is custom made and can't really be replaced to me.

God this is depressing. If I was much of a drinker, I think I'd be completely pissed right now.

Finally, I've been able to get to Arkham. My annual month-long trip to see Uncle Hans was delayed due to my ridiculous brother putting himself in hospital, but now I'm away from all that nonsense. And my uncle has not one but three test subjects to work with this summer! I forsee great gains in knowledge being made this vacation, I shall have to keep very careful notes for future research endeavors.

Daniel Cain, who has been helping my uncle in procuring specimens, shows some promise, too. American medical wizardry is so different.

Anyways, somebody should come visit me! It's kinda lonely over here at home without no friends. I'm sure momma wouldn't mind! She'd probably cook a real nice dinner, she's always sayin' I need more friends around. She's a real good cook, too, so you should come over so I can get a good dinner. I mean, not like a regular good dinner, but a special good dinner, the kind she only makes for guests and stuff.

Remember the festivals in Belgium I mentioned? Well, the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium is a GO. It's July 4th through the 7th.
I couldn't get us into Coachella unfortunately. It's kind of become hipster central the past couple of years anyways so I don't think we're missing out on much.

I just need to finalize who's all coming so I can get us all put on the VIP lists. So if you're able to come let me know.

I'm booking a fully stocked suite at a nearby hotel for all of us too. As for transportation..well, let me know where you are and I might be able to help you out. I'm not really one for Wizarding transport and I can't drive but I'm more than happy to try and make other arrangements.

With all the excitement of finals, school wrapping up, getting ready to head back home, and one or two other rather momentous things, it kind of just occurred to me that I haven't bought my sister a wedding present yet.

And she's getting married at the end of the month.

Which gives me only two weeks.

Might not be the proudest realization of my life, but at least I've still got some time to scramble. Better than realizing it when I'm putting on what my suit before the wedding. ~~She wanted me to wear a kilt but I think she was probably too drunk to remember saying that, thank God.~~

Does anybody have a solid wedding gift recommendation for a sister you love but who is also almost always incredibly frustrating?

And what with today being my 15th birthday. I'm getting the feeling people wouldn't entirely object to the idea of, I don't know something like a party by the lake, to let of some steam and enjoy a weekend for a change instead of freaking out about exams. It's only one day.

There's nothing more to say about exams, except that they are coming up. So instead I'll write about something more interesting. I'm looking forward to the last Quidditch match, Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor. It'll be interesting and I'm sure a few people will end up in the Hospital wing. I'm not going to say that Ravenclaw will win, because Gryffindor obviously has some level of skill. It would be nice if we did win though.

The only other thing to look forward to is the up coming break. I'll be taking a trip to Volgograd with my Father. It's been a few years since I last went so it will be nice to see if anything's changed. I'm not looking forward to the humidity though. I may consider having to straighten my hair for most of the trip. We're going to stop in Moscow just to see the Bolshoi Ballet perform Giselle. It'll be nice to have a trip where nothing is obnoxiously loud and not every meal will be an eat contest.
