so hey whats everyone doing on saturday night aside from all those lucky folks who have dates in hogsmeade although really im kind of talking post dinner night time and im pretty sure were supposed to be in by then but still

saturday night right

its pretty all right for fighting dont you think (thats a reference to a muggle song by elton john so all you purebloods know)

speaking of fighting im pretty fond of fencing myself but were not allowed to have weapons at school so i cant really do that can i but thats fine i do love a good old fashioned no shirts bare fisted brawl too its really invigorating you know

but fighting isnt really allowed at hogwarts being a school and all but i think there are some people who could really use it you know let off some steam

its too bad theres not really a place we could do that

like an empty duelling classroom

You do realise that posting this out for all the teachers to see is a really bad idea.

even if there was such a thing as a fighting going on in the duelling classroom it would be perfectly okay because actually professor strider probably approved it and agreed to be a club advisor

I mean, for this Saturday's thing. Has he given you permission, specifically, for this club meet that you're having on this date at this time, as well as assurance that he's going to be there? I'd say you'd definitely need a teacher around for this.

well no but he can see this right and besides itll be fine i can just tell mamma shes well shes not a teacher but she is an adult and a healer so yeah no worries

So long as you've got someone the professors are OK with playing chaperone.

You could also do a better job of writing this announcement for this Fight Club of yours. I think you've raised a lot of eyebrows with this post here, it looks like you've got something you're trying to hide.

man no way do you know how hard that stuff is to do? i thought i was doing pretty good when i did the stuff on herbert wests coming out post i dont know if i could do it for all that writing

West did that? Fancy that, I never thought he was capable of anything except being an arrogant prick.

Anyway, try not to post something like this in future. It's just begging for the professors to clamp down on the club. You might have Professor Dumbledore's permission now, but clubs can be disbanded if students get too hurt and some teachers might not want to take that risk.

Maybe it was part of that craziness last week. Talking goats seem just as likely to happen as him being nice.

Well let's be honest here, you said so yourself up there. Fighting isn't allowed in Hogwarts, and for pretty damn good reasons too. Kids who think too much of themselves could get hurt real bad. Might have nightmares about it, aside from the cuts and bruises. Besides, the professors wouldn't want to deal with angry mums and dads asking why their kids got beat up in a club activity.

It's too soon after the Wizarding War for fights at school anyway. Not saying the fight club is wrong, but if there's no teacher around to check that students don't get out of hand, things could take a turn for the worse.

oh yeah apparently i turned professer riddick into a girl by thinking about ~~bruces boobs~~ it i didnt know i could do that

sigh yeah i know whatever happened to boys will be boys thats what i want to know i mean were always fighting back home its a bonding thing and anyway its not like im making anyone go or forcing them to fight people they dont want to and were not using wands were using fists

although i did consider picking up a few foam bats in hogsmeade because that would be fun too

and were definitely not doing it fight club style no matter how awesome that is i dont think most of the people here could handle that

Well most people don't work that way. Parents don't like seeing their kids bruised up, magic or otherwise. There might be some kids dumb enough to think they can handle fights when they can't too. I hope you've got some screening process to catch them out. Wouldn't do your club much good PR if you got Howlers coming in complaining about it.

no one complains about quidditch and ive seen bludgers break arms before :I bruises are hardly anything in comparison

seriously your worrying too much its just friendly fooling around and anyway pretty much everyone who signed up for it is in gryffindor if they cant handle a little rough housing they dont really belong in this house

although graham might be a little too much for most people but i figure if i fight him first ill wear him down enough that he should be manageable

Parents complain anyway, whether it's Quidditch or boxing or a brawl. It doesn't matter how it happens. It took me awhile to convince my dad to let me play Quidditch and he only agreed in the end when I told him about the Healers, but he still wasn't very happy with the idea of me lying in the Healing Ward with a broken leg from a stray whack from a bat.

Right, and who made you the Sorting Hat? It takes more than the ability to last a scrap to get into Gryffindor. What happened to bravery and chivalry? Last I checked the dictionary, the word "fight", "punch", "kick" or any of that sort weren't included in their definitions.

i think tulio did it to be honest he was the one pointing the finger at me i just happened to be thinking about girls at the same time

and this is why i think everyone out here is soft i mean loosing an eye or an arm i can understand parents being upset but gosh broken bones cuts and bruises heal
mamma always says a little pain is good for you

i would consider being able to stand your ground in a fight is a part of bravery and also very chivalrous i mean part of the whole old knight chivalry code was being willing to lay your life down for your master it wasnt just minding your language and holding doors open for ladies

Maybe. But there's a big difference between what you think is a little pain and what others do. Muggleborns would find it even harder to understand. We don't have magic to take care of our broken bones over night and it can take up to a month, even more, before we can take our casts off.

Laying your life down for someone and getting into fights that can be avoided isn't the same. Besides, it doesn't make any of them less courageous if one knows how to take a hit and the other doesn't.

Subtle.

That being said, have fun and let me know how the Club goes. Hopefully no one will narc on you guys.
