I caved and sent my Dad an owl asking about the ministry and just how legal this is and if there's any loopholes in regards to any threats posed against us supernaturals. He ran for Minister when I was little, so he's got to know something, as much as it pains me to admit it.

This'll be the first time I've talked to him in...Merlin, maybe three years?

I didn't mention anything about my own condition. I...I think I'd prefer to do that in person than over owl.

The school year just started why is it so exhausting already?

I think the first music club meeting went really well. You all have some rockin' tunes, so we may be able to do something with this yet. I'll let everyone know when the next meeting will be.

I have a really bad feeling about all of this. I'm pretty damn sure we have no legal rights at all considering how we're not even considered human anymore.

After the ministry's reaction when I went to file a complaint against Ash, I'm pretty damn sure too. As much as I hate all this political crap, at the moment we have to play by his tune until I hear anything.

Yeah, I'm keeping my head down but my eyes and ears open that's for sure. No one is happy about this..not the students and not the teachers. If anything it's nice to know we won't be alone here.

I'm not really sure what their relationship was like, to be honest. I didn't get involved much in dad's political life aside from photos and parties. And when mum died and he gave up gunning for the seat I just forgot about most of it.

Who says I was getting mushy? I'm honestly not sure where I'd go anyway. I don't want to run away but if worse comes to worse, we might not have any other option.

I was careful. We...used to use several code words when I was younger in case I was ever in any danger, him running for Minister and all. If he remembers, he'll pick up on them.

I'm relieved to hear that. We don't want to get into unnecessary trouble at the moment. There is plenty of time for that.

I'll ask him about it. Perhaps I will consider entertaining whoever comes to the tea party with music. Music and tea sounds like a good idea.

Hey yeah, that sounds pretty good. I mean I know that tea parties are classical music and all but at this point in time I think everyone needs a breather.

While it is a tea party, I don't mind if it isn't conventional. I', still discussing dates with a professor and we're considering a themed party in October. It might be less of a tea party and more of just a party, but that's not necessarily bad.

Like a masquerade party or something? Man, I haven't been to a masquerade party since I was a kid.

Well, if you want, I could rope the music club into providing entertainment. I know some nice tunes and Marshall knows a lot about music so we could put something together.

If you wish. It would be fabulous if students all worked together to make this successful, but not needed. I can supply whatever needed and I have gotten access of a classroom. I'm glad people are interested in it given all the stress.
