Greetings!

I hope all of you are well. If you are not currently busy, I have a favor to ask. Does anyone recognize this melody? For the life of me I can’t seem to remember if it’s my own or if I heard it somewhere else - perhaps it was a film back home or something of the like - and it won’t leave my mind. I’ll write it below; the charm to play it is simply “audio.” (Latin pronunciation, obviously, but you English-speakers tend to pronounce the a-u combin “Ow-dee-oh.”

Thank you kindly. I think it's quite pretty, and I'm hearing it slowly, almost ethereally. I think an arpeggiated bass line would go nicely with it. Rick Rolled?

Forgive me; if this is a tune I've picked up from somewhere I honestly don't know where I've heard it. I don't believe it's a Wizard World tune, and I've been increasingly out of touch with the Muggle World since my arrival here. My mother would be proud

You're right! It's a Muggle artist whose name is Rick.
In the Muggle world people will get on the internet and try and trick people into clicking on website links that lead to this song. If you click on it, you fell for the trick and are thusly "Rick Rolled"

It's kinda an old song so it's probably something you heard subconciously.

Ah, that explains it. I'm not much on the internet when I'm home with my parents. Or, rather, I don't tend to use it as socially as others; just personal browsing and necessary emailing and such. And downloading music, but apparently not this one. And yes, my father used to have the radio on more often when I was very little.

Why is it called a "roll?" Wouldn't "Rick Trick" be more of a catchy thing, as it rhymes?

Sometimes I don't understand muggles. I'll have to be better about that if I decide to make my career there instead of here.

What do you plan on doing after you graduate?

I am too; my father is a muggle, but my mother is rather pushy about keeping me immersed in the wizarding world. That was the only reason I didn't go to Durmstrang; she thought being further away from home would be better for me.

I'd like to compose. I'll likely need something else to sustain me as well, but as for music I don't know where I'd like to make my mark.

Really? Awesome! You should really join the music club. We play a lot and I think we're even going to be playing at the Yule Ball this year. We have a really good variety of instruments too. I play guitar or bass and sing.
