Accidental Action/Post

[Marshall wasn't sleeping well. In light of Marcelines newfound happening of being human again he was being plagued by weird dreams. He woke up suddenly with a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. He quickly got up, knocked his journal to the floor and made a run for the bathroom. The journal picks up on a sound that sounds like someone retching from further away.
After expelling whatever remained of the last potion he took Marshall sat on the floor in shock his heart beating fast. Wait? Heartbeat?. He got up and looked in the mirror and gasped.
He looked alive.
He blinked as he suddenly realized that he was suddenly needing to breathe.]

"What the hell?"

[He hurries back to his bed and discovers the journal lying open on the floor. He picks it up and makes a hasty scribble]

Marcie, whenever you wake up I gotta talk to you. I think...whatever is happening to you...uh..it's happening to me too.

[He takes in ghost Eriq.]
I...think that's something I should be asking you. Are..are you dead? What happened?

[That might've gotten a small grin out of him, but it didn't last long.]

Oh, I'm absolutely peachy keen, Marshall. I mean, yes, I am dead, to answer THAT question, but that sort of means the worst is over, don't you think? It's not like I can get any deader, so as far as I'm concerned, everything is fine and dandy. Not a care in the world. Someone may want to take care of my dead body before it starts to stick, though. Give it to Herbert, I guess, he'll probably do something unspeakable, yet hilarious to it. As to how? Well, as far as I can figure, I wished I was dead, and then I keeled over.

[SHRUG] So. Dinner not agree with you?

[And Marshall really has no idea what to say. He's surprised that Eriq seems so unconcerned over what's happened to him.]

I..don't know what to say. I mean, aren't you just a little freaked out?
[He processes what Eriq said about his body and wishing he were dead.]
Dinner really didn't agree with me. I'm going to go to the hospital wing actually. I can let them know what's happened. Maybe it's not permanant..they'll be able to keep your body safe at least.

[Well, you know. He's a ghost. It's not like being a vampire, where you still have a corporeal body to deal with, and he didn't die a violent death. Just an unexpected one.]

Honestly, I don't feel much of anything right now. [he shrugs, kicking a ghostly foot at the floor] Vaguely annoyed that I can't do anything, but not much beyond that.

[He gives Marshall a bit of a look] Death usually is a kind of permanent thing, but sure, yeah, I suppose that would be a good thing to do.

Huh. I guess that makes sense.

[He gives a wry smile] Usually but...a lot of weird shit has been happening around here lately so you never know. Besides...it'll get your body away from Herbert at least.

Meh. [SHRUG] Although if this does turn out to be permanent, you can have my vinyls, okay? You're probably the only one who has a shot at appreciating them...

Heh. Oh, I would actually be pretty amused if he did manage to do something with it. Probably nothing more than a shambling zombie, however.

[No, he's not making a high pitched sound resembling "gneeeeeeee," not at all] We'll have to sit and jam sometime while you're still around the castle. I had been considering taking up your offer for guitar lessons, you know, but I kind of got busy for a little bit, and then.... [he shrugs, waving at himself]

Oh no, you hardly have to go that far! Just give him a swift slap upside the head, that's what I usually do.

[Adorable. Marshall smiles.] Well, I'm hoping that everything that's going on isn't permanant. If that ends up being the case then I'd be more than happy to teach you.

I'll give him a slap upside the head alright..maybe with a guitar.

[No he's not. He is not. There is no way he'd fanboy over someone he thinks is younger than him. None] Hee! If you did, then Herbert would probably complain. He's got no time for the arts, but I've always wanted to be a Renaissance man; skilled in a little bit of everything.

Noooooooo! Don't, Marshall, please don't hurt him. He's my best friend, I don't- I really wouldn't mind- It'd be fine if he did that.

Yeah, he griped at me for playing outside during the swimming thing. If you want to study I don't think trying to do it with a huge crowd of people around is the best plan you know?

..all right all right. I'll be nice to him but I'm still going to go to the hospital wing and have someone come and uh, collect you.

Oh, he wasn't studying. [he waves a hand dismissively] I know that book he had, he practically has it memorized. He probably just wanted a reason to complain.

Well, you don't have to be nice, just don't do any permanent damage, okay? And yes, all right. If you insist.

Well that's mean. No one else was griping about the music.

Gotcha. And I do insist. Besides, you don't want people in your dorm to flip out.
