Someone volunteer to take care of my new goat.

No payment or reward offered beyond the knowledge that you have kept it alive.

I'm not interested in keeping them alive, but I'll eat whatever ones you've killed if you haven't been experimenting on them.

Waste not want not.

No surprises there. Well, if you manage to kill one in a more natural way, let me know. I've never had goat.

I am a little doubtful of your abilities to keep the goat alive. Either you will pay it too little attention, and it will starve, or you'll pay it too much attention, and it will ... whatever happened to the last one.

But who knows, someone may have pity on your poor goat.
bonafide_divinity: (Oh noetry)

I hate to break it to you, Holmes, but nobody is going to want to look after your goat pro-bono. However, I'm sure that if we talked things over, we could work out a reasonable rate for [inkblot] goat-care services.
bonafide_divinity: (To Robert E. Lee I'll show it)

[personal profile] bonafide_divinity 2012-10-02 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well, [inkblot] I would feed it. And check it for diseases [inkblot] periodically. Make sure it gets enough exercise. [another inkblot] among other things.

[How the Hell do you take care of a goat?]

You leave out hay, and keep it away from Hulk.

Even you with your 'superior intellect' can manage that.
bonafide_divinity: (Make me a deal)

[personal profile] bonafide_divinity 2012-10-02 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not, Holmes! What would make you think that? After all, what's to stop you from going directly to the idiot I would employ for a lesser fee. I can assure you that I will be performing any and all goat-caring tasks on my own.

[Although that's wouldn't be a bad idea if enough people decided to pawn their goats off on him. He'll be keeping that in mind.]
bonafide_divinity: (Badass over here)

[personal profile] bonafide_divinity 2012-10-02 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Give me a moment to think on this, Holmes. You've always struck me as a respectable, upstanding individual, so I'd really hate to fleece you.

How much are you paying for replacement goats?

How can you possibly have problems keeping goats alive?

No, not apparently. Obviously. This is an obvious known fact.
