In other news, I joined the Quidditch team. I bet I'm definitely not like other girls now.

I'm the new Chaser. I need a new broom, though! My old current isn't gonna be fast enough, so I'll probably sell my old guitar to pay for it. As sad as it makes me to sell such a big piece of history... Anyway, do any of you guys have advice as far as models? I've got some gold saved up, so with the funds from my guitar, I should be able to afford a fairly decent one.

Also, don't think I'm going to be neglecting the band. Stephen and I are still trying to work out a few creative differences, but I think a merging is gonna happen. Maybe. It depends.

Quidditch definitely isn't for everybody. I had to think about it for a while before I decided to join.

It's kind of just a stupid boy thing. I wanted to prove that I'm not like most girls, so I hoped joining quidditch would do that. Turns out he doesn't really seem to care though.

I'm not gonna lie, it makes me glad we're on the same team. I'm not a pushover or anything, but if it came down to it I'm not really sure I'd come out standing. I've seen you play, and you're deadly.

That's why I didn't try for beater this year. I figure the other teams couldn't handle me and Specter together.

As your new captain, and therefore clearly the most unbiased and emotionally detached potential adviser you could get in this equation, it is my humbly correct opinion that too much stock is put into broom quality.

Riiight, completely unbiased! I can tell.

And maybe so, but I doubt anyone could really be all that good a player if they were using a broom that doesn't go all that fast. And mine doesn't. My dad was a little over protective when it came to buying me my first broom; he didn't think I needed a fast one. Mine barely goes faster than the school brooms.
