So, New Years Eve is coming up.

I know some of you are staying at the school, but how about we stay the night at my place to bring in the New Year.

Chips, dips, chocolate and a bed room each.

How does that sound?

Jarvis can pick you up from school.

Also, I never actually got around to sending christmas presents so really you have to come so you can get your gifts.

Hm, well when I see a bear or a lion get ridiculously excited about something being thrown for them to fetch, then you can be one of those.

But till then you're one happy puppy.

I am sure they would be excited if you were to throw a large amount of meat away from them. But who would not??

People who are terrified of bears and lions might not do that.

Can't say I'd be really overly eager to be close enough to one to need to throw it some meat to catch.

What do dogs have to do with geese? I don't pretend to mean anything deeper than what it is. You are just a silly bird.

Muggles use them as guard dogs, that's what they have to do with it. Okay, ignoring a bird is the emblem of my house, and that I'm captain of the Quidditch team, I have nothing in common with birds.

They are not guard dogs if they are birds. That is stupid.

You have plenty in common with them. You make a very bird like face when you are being inquisitive. It is both endearing and annoying.

That's why people call them guardgeese.

What? I don't make a bird face when I'm curious about something.

I have never heard the term, but I suppose that is of no surprise to you.
