[Sure enough, there he is by the painting and looking for his buddy.]

[His buddy is on the floor, with his lower leg stuck between the staircase and the wall. From the looks of things, he lost his balance when the staircase moved and managed to get himself trapped after he fell.

He manages a twitchy wave, and there aren't a lot of ways that he could look less comfortable than he is.]

[Takes a moment to stare, putting two and two together fairly quickly and shaking his head as he kneels by Mituna. Examines how he's stuck and asks:]

Is the staircase pinning you to place?

[He nods, signing back to the affirmative, though his fingers move clumsily and make him harder to understand than usual.]

Yeah. Can you help?

Let's try to get you loose and if that doesn't work, we'll have to wait for the staircase to move again.

[Kurloz leans in closer to peer at Mituna's leg, tilting his head this way and that. Thinking carefully, he gets his and Mituna's school bags, wedging them together into the space between the staircase and the floor.]

Trust me on this. Take off your pants.

[He starts in alarm and shakes his head.]

Not fucking happening.

There is no one around to see you. We can try wriggling you out of your pants to loosen it a bit.

[A long pause here. Mituna glances around, then back to his best friend, and rubs one hand vigorously against his face before signing back.]

Fucking fuck. Okay.

[Slips his arm through the gap in the staircase and gets Mituna's shoe off, putting it safely on the floor behind him and doing the same with the Ravenclaw's other shoe.]

Do you need help with your pants?

[Kurloz is just going to get a flat look for that.]

No, fuckass.

[He gives a small tug in an attempt to get free without having to resort to this, but it seems part of the fabric is stuck. Mituna huffs out a sigh, and after a bit of wriggling, pulls his leg free of his pants and curls it up to his chest.

A slight tearing of fabric later and he has his pants free as well, pulling them back on and then grinning up at his friend.]

If you wanted to get me out of my pants all you had to do was ask.

[Snorts quietly and grabs Mituna's books from the gap between the stairs, snatching them quickly out as the staircase slams completely into place.]

You're too skinny for my taste.

[Winks.]

[But he's grinning, and he laughs, shoving lightly against his friend's side. This probably doesn't move Kurloz, but results in Mituna almost falling over again.]

[Quickly grabs Mituna before the boy can fall down the stairs or something equally dangerous, rolling his eyes.]

You're welcome.

[Falling down is a definite possibility.]

[Signed in the most sarcastic way possible, with a roll of his eyes.]

Missed class again.

[Pats the boy's shoulder gently, hoisting up Mituna's books and leading him away from the stairway.]
