Unfortunately, I can't claim to be awesome enough to have played hooky for half a year.

And then they probably kicked them in front of them, the story goes.
Either that or they decided to give puppies to the Hufflepuffs that didn't want them.
There are plenty of ways to screw that kind gesture up.
