I've been thinking about starting up the Explorers Club again..would anyone be interested?

We could explore the castle and make notes of what we find. I'm willing to bet there's all kinds of secret passages and hidden treasures around here!

Maybe if we got a Professor as our adviser we could take short trips around the grounds too. Like maybe a supervised visit to the Forbidden Forest or diving in the lake?

Could we do something like that? And would anyone actually sign up?

Oh there are plenty of passages around here. Finding them is the reward you get for 8eing here most of the year, in my opinion.

Did you say you were still in search of a professor for this group?

I always thought it would be nifty to find them all. I've found a couple but sometimes they disappear.
I've always wanted to learn what some of the passages were used for or why they were put in there in the first place.

They do that. It's all part of the charm, really.
Who knows really. The founders were a strange 8unch if you consider the records we have. I imagine Slytherin installed quite a few of them himself.

I would 8e. I suppose I would have to talk to Dum8ledore concerning rules, 8ut it would 8e 8etter for you to have an adult with you as you do the natural thing children do and explore.

Awesome! I really hope he'll let us. It would be neat to actually have permission to do some things that aren't normally allowed. I mean, I've explored around a lot on my own and found some things but I always held back a little since there are a lot of places we're not allowed to go.

It's likely. Many different wizards have moved through the school, as teachers and students, an many have left their individual marks. We're just as su8secta8le to wanting to 8e recalled for something after we're gone, and sometimes the smallest things are 8etter then nothing.

He's usually quite understanding of student's whims of curiosity. And if there's a way to ensure more student safety I'm sure it'll 8e even easier to sway him to the idea. And it would 8e nice to use the forest for more then just a venue for supposedly creative detentions. 8ut that is smart of you, there are often things, especially in the forest, that students are not yet equipped to deal with. I'm sure that intelligent thinking will help your case too.

That's a pretty interesting way of looking at it! It would be exciting to discover if any personal effects were left lying around too.

Yeah, he's always been really cool about things like that. I've been dying to see what's in the forest but even I wouldn't go in there unsupervised. I've heard there are real werewolves and vampires in there and all other kinds of crazy things.

I would certainly be up for some adventuring throughout hogwarts mysterious halls.
Though i do imagine ive found a great deal of things already!

I've always had a good time exploring. I just thought it would be more fun and we could cover more ground as a group. Plus since things move around or vanish we'd have to cover the same places more than once!

Astute! Youve a good head on your shoulders for the adventuring business.

Seems they like that sort of tomfoolery they do the same to me! Most of what ive found tends to shift its position in the castle like some architectural game of hide and seek. Which in some cases is vexing but in others adds to the thrill of the chase.

It's one of the things I do best!

I've been trying to make a map of things since my first year here. It's a pretty hopeless thing to do, but at least it helps give a general idea of where things can be found.

Maps are a terribly confounded waste of time ive found.
Besides my own personal style appreciates making my own trail! Who needs maps. Theres nothing wrong with traversing a territory more than once! Maybe youll find something you didnt notice the first time.

That's always true too! Though it can be beneficial to have someone else come along too. Sometimes another point of view can help you see things you didn't see before as well.

I think so too. We used to have the club up and running a couple of years ago but it kinda fell through after a while.

It looks like Professor Serket is interested in being our adviser too! I'm excited!

I'll have to fit it around my studies so we'll see. defs gonna keep it in mind! its just you know, i have pretty big exams eventually. eww.

Oh yeah, it is that time of year isn't it? Man, can't say that I'm looking forward to that next year. Guess I better enjoy my last year of exam freedom.
