You know what's even more disheartening?

Having a father that cheated on your mother until she finally got the right idea and left him. This "father" having sole custody of you, but barely being around at home since he's out in bars with women anyway. It's easy to pretend you're a doting father when you don't have to directly deal with your child, but he's no father.

To me, you're just not bothering with context or asking questions because you're trying to win an argument you've already lost.
