My, my. What ferocious dragons you have hatched. And a few that have not.
Attention must be paid to Misters Dave Strider and Wilbur Robinson, both of Gryffindor 3rd year for their tireless efforts in raising the happiest dragon. As a mark of your outstanding achievement, you have earned 50 points for Gryffindor and may keep Sean Pimpdaddy Connery. It is aptly named, I am sure.
Would the rest of the participants be so kind as to tell me what occurred with your eggs? After all, it does not do to count your dragons until they have hatched.
[ooc: Dragons hatch today! If your dragon breathes blue (which is better) or red (which is not as good, but not bad) sparks, you get points. If it breathes farts, you get nothing, and if your egg never hatched, well, you LOSE points. Have your characters comment here and tell Professor Dumbledore what you got. Talk to your partner about it first and TRY TO BE REALISTIC.]

[is anyone surprised they wound up with a dragon psychopath??]
Ladd Jr. has hatched, breathing a volcanic level of red sparks! He responded well to the metaphorical - and a few times, as implied, very literal - fiery paternal spirit that Shinra and I offered him! And now he is strong and aggressive and ENDLESSLY, TIRELESSLY, RELENTLESSLY BITEY and I could not be more proud.

We're very proud of Ladd Junior! He went straight for my ulnar artery, so I'm sure he has excellent hunting instincts.
The only problem is that I'm in Ravenclaw.

i MEAN, i KNOW THAT, uH,
iT COULD BE BETTER,
bUT i AM REALLY, dEFINITELY PROUD OF THEODORE FOR MANAGING THOSE RED ONES,
aND i THINK i EVEN MAYBE, sAW A BLUE ONE OR TWO, mIXED IN THERE,
mAYBE,
iT COULD HAVE BEEN MY EYES PLAYING TRICKS ON ME,
oR MAYBE NOT, aND HE REALLY DID, i DON'T KNOW,
bUT EITHER WAY, i'M VERY PROUD OF HIM!
dID WE DO OKAY?

OURS...DIDN'T HATCH.

Have you tried setting it on fire? That's how Ladd Jr. hatched.
no subject
I'M NOT SETTING ARIEL ON FIRE.
no subject
Why not? I'm fairly sure dragons breathe fire on their eggs as a form of incubation, so it would probably be good for her.

MAYBE IF NOTHING ELSE MAKES IT HATCH.
I'M GOING TO ASK FOR PERMISSION TO KEEP IT A LITTLE LONGER.
