Books to read over the summer.
An extremely incomplete list.

Reread the complete works of H.P. Lovecraft. Push off other reading endeavors until this is complete. For a Muggle, he was surprisingly well-written. You would all do well to read it.

[ Following this there is an extremely long list of both Wizard and Muggle writers, a lot of things that sound like they were written over one hundred years ago, especially in the wizarding department.

It's so long that it takes up several pages in neat, elegant script. ]

There, I think that's sufficient. It's been a pleasure learning with you all this year. If you need me, simply send an owl to the Lalonde residence. I'm looking forward to a long reprieve from homework with a decent amount of light reading to keep me company.

Jade, John, if you want to do something this summer, let me know. Although my plans are lofty, I don't doubt that my mother will find some way to sabotage them. I might have to turn to plan B for my solitude.

As opposed to Wizard literature, in which the arcane is treated with a different light, and the writing is much more voluminous.
No offense meant, he's one of my favorite authors. Petty arguments about the boastings of wizards, witches and humankind aside.

The magical writing is not without its share of made up fantasy, any more than Muggle writing.

An author that wrote voluminous amounts of what some people might consider 'horror stories'. He's very good. I'm quite a fan, so I tend to reread my complete works every summer.

I read medical journals sometimes. And muggle 'science fiction' novels if we can find them.

Lovecraft does sound interesting though. Maybe I'll look into his work this summer.

I'll have to give a look to medical journals. I've never been one for the sciences, aside from perhaps science fiction. But it's worth a mutual trade of interests, I'd say.

Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. I have had some problems finding good muggle novels to read. This list will prove most useful for that.
