 I got a letter from the school! I'm going to be a prefect this year!

This is so exciting! I'm a little nervous, but mostly I'm flattered. I mean, I guess it's pretty good to be considered prefect material, right?

I think Mother's proud, honestly. That feels pretty good, too.

but what do you do when faced with pain you cant avoid? to never experience pain is to never truly know it its like being kept inside your whole life only hearing stories of the outside world i do not want to spend my whole life trusting what others say to be true i want to know and experience for myself

Okay, you're allowed to give detentions for no reason once or twice if you're in a bad mood, but only do that sparingly. That way, the corruption is a slow, subtle process. By the time anyone notices, it'll be like it was always there.
