 I got a letter from the school! I'm going to be a prefect this year!

This is so exciting! I'm a little nervous, but mostly I'm flattered. I mean, I guess it's pretty good to be considered prefect material, right?

I think Mother's proud, honestly. That feels pretty good, too.

It is pretty exciting, though!

maybe that means i should rethink a couple of my plans then i will do my best to keep you busy

i bet it is i can wat for quidditch try outs i think hitting things with a stick is about all the responsibility i can handle

oh i hope nothing i have planned is bad enough to get me expelled contrary to opinion i do try to avoid that at least getting hurt isnt so bad though

no it heals and theres a lot of old sayings about pain and suffering making you stronger and also how can you know joy if you do not also sadness

I think those sayings are true, I guess, but there's pain you can avoid and pain you can't.

but what do you do when faced with pain you cant avoid? to never experience pain is to never truly know it its like being kept inside your whole life only hearing stories of the outside world i do not want to spend my whole life trusting what others say to be true i want to know and experience for myself
