Before school starts back up again is there anything any of you would like me to bring back as far as Muggle snacks and drinks-wise?

I usually sell them for just a little more than what I paid for them but if you'd like something specific you can send me the money now and I'll get it specifically for you for no additional charge!

Before anyone gets mad about me jacking up prices..this is usually how I earn my spending money during the school year since my parents still haven't grasped the fact that Muggle money is NOT the same as Wizard money and therefore they're..uh..shall we say, cheap? And trust me, it's a heck of a lot less than going through an actual importing place.

What flavor? I can get chocolate, vanilla, lemon or orange cake. All of them have vanilla cream inside.

I like chocolate! The strawberry is pretty good too. The coconut is gross but I hate coconut so I'm a little bias there.

You realize that anyone can just pop over to a gas station and get that shit themselves, right? It's not like gas stations are invisible to wizards.

That's true and stuff but how often can you just pop over to a gas station while you're actually in school? And some wizards don't have or use Muggle money.

I've been doing this since my second year and people are usually okay with it. It's how I earned the money to buy my broom for Quidditch.
And it's not like my mark up is huge..it's like a quarter or fifty cents in Muggle money.

And that's when you have to get creative. Trust me, it ain't impossible to get the stuff if you really want to.

But either way, I have to admire your ambition. It's a pretty damn good way to make money, taking advantage of ignorant purebloods. Are you Slytherin? Because this reeks of a Slytherin scam.

I'm a Ravenclaw actually..I'd never take advantage of people per say. If anything, I like showing people that Muggle things can be just as good as Wizarding things.

Chica, you are totally taking advantage of people. If you weren't, you'd just explain in loving detail how to go about obtaining these things.

Instead, you're jacking up the price. You've got a monopoly on muggle candy.

I ain't saying it's bad. It's a good business move. I applaud your hard work and determination. But at least admit your Slytherin side is hissing.

If someone wants to know how to get stuff I'd be happy to tell them..but I doubt a lot of people would bother even if they knew how to get them.
I don't know how importing really works in the Wizarding world but I know in the Muggle one imported things are expensive and often taxed a lot. My markup would be a LOT less than an import fee I'm sure. Besides, if someone thinks it's high I'm willing to negotiate or even do trades.

Maybe it is! I won't say that I'm lacking in ambition and determination. I know I have that in spades.

Would it be horrible for me to request a package of Oreos? I've been far too busy to actually go to a store.

And I do enjoy seeing someone being smart about making money. I imagine the market could use some expanding, though.

I probably could expand but I only have so much room in my trunk at a time..and I don't want more stuff to do on top of Quidditch and homework.

You would need to expand your consumer base, first. I imagine some of the stauncher purebloods turn up their noses at the thought of Muggle snacks.

That's a good way to view it. It really is their loss - Muggle snacks are delicious, and there's no threat of them burning a hole in your tongue or any other nasty surprises.

Exactly! My first time in the candy shop I almost bought a Blood Pop. I thought they were using the term figuratively since it just looked like a regular dark red lollipop.
The shop girl had to tell me it was literally a lollipop made out of blood.

You could have gotten an Acid Pop. At least Blood Pops have a client base that's not malicious tricksters.

Do you think we could work out a trade for a couple of things? I can get all kinds of wizarding candy, since my folks run a candy shop. I'd be happy to pay you the difference, since I know wizard money's different from Muggle money and all.

Do you have anything specific that you would like? I can usually tell people the Muggle version of some Wizarding sweets or at least the closest thing they have to it.

Oh, you know those little cakes that look like a checkerboard when you take a bite of them? They're pink and white on the inside. Those are my absolute favorites...
