[There's no response to that because Karkat started leaving for Snow's office. There's a knock on his door about five or six minutes later.]

[Snow flicks his wand in the direction of the door, opening it.]

Come in, sit down.

[Karkat doesn't look too happy to be here but he's putting on his best face, which...isn't really all that good. Still, he's trying to look as polite as possible as he crosses into the room and sits down as directed, for once not flopping into a chair like he usually does.]

[He can sense just how unhappy Karkat is, and it fills him with a weird satisfaction, though he doesn't let on.]

Good evening, Mister Vantas. Please sit upright, you're going to make the cushioning uneven.

[Karkat sits up properly as instructed, running a hand through his red hair to try smoothing it down, only to mess it up further.]

Is this really necessary, sir?

[With that, he points his wand at Karkat.

[Karkat closes his mouth and grits his teeth silently, fingers gripping the armrests of his chair just slightly as he felt the spell warm his throat. It was different to when Maka had cast it on him, nearly six months back, and he glanced away.]
