[This entry might seem a little uncharacteristically chipper coming from Murdoc of all people. Why? Because it's all pretty much fake. He's engaged to Sybille simply to prevent her from being deported and this entry has been made in the interest of seeming genuine.]

Good evening, Hogwarts. It is my great pleasure to announce that after nearly twenty years of being madly in love, both myself and the lovely Miss Matteris have gotten ourselves engaged to be married.

As of yet we haven't set a date for the wedding but we were simply too excited to hold off on announcing this to our dear friends. I'm certain you will all be invited.

[When he uses her name, and smiles like that, it draws a bright, sunny smile in return, feeling in far better spirits than before]

But you are the one who did tell me, and I appreciate it.

[She clasps her hands together then, and shifts slightly]

Though, I did not come here to speak about myself. Did you still wish to talk?

[The brightness of her smile does lift his spirits a little, but there's no indication of it in his face. He doesn't really know how to smile and there's far too much weighing down on him for it to be as genuine as her own.

He shakes his head, gasting a glance toward a clock and wondering how long it will be appropriate for the woman to stay.]

Perhaps not, but it was a cathartic conversation in any case. I do not have much else to say on the matter, unless there was anythin' in particular you had in mind.

[The glance towards the clock draws her own attention, and she smiles again, gently, getting to her feet]

No, there was nothing. I will trust you to keep what I have told you to yourself, dear.

[He blinks up at her as she stands, staring for a long moment while he internally debates over asking her to stay or not. Finally, he shakes his head, letting his gaze drop down to his desk as he nods.]
