There’s something really, really wrong with me.

I was wondering how everyone else thinks since you guys only seem to get what I'm talking about half the time or less, and suddenly everything's... I don't know, way different than how it's been as long as I can remember. My thoughts aren’t racing. I still have all my emotions, but they're not as intense. They've always been either way up or way down, usually going back and forth faster than a kid who ate too much sugar before hopping on a tire swing.

Am I sick? It’s got me kinda worried. Ladd would know what’s wrong; he’d be able to give me some good advice.

Yeah, that's putting it mildly. Try actually being me, even if I don't particularly feel like 'me' anymore.

At this point, I don't think I'm physically sick at all. It's all how my brain's working. What could the hospital wing possibly do for that?

Maybe the nurse has some kind of brain potion.

It sounds like you've been medicated! Have you started on any new pills or the like recently?

I've got no idea what you're talking about. I don't take pills.

You might have been drugged, as well. I'm starting to suspect that's what happened to me - my emotional state isn't exactly normal for me, either. It's not unpleasant, though!

Can't agree with you on it being unpleasant. My brain's never worked this way before; I feel like I don't belong in my own head. How has your emotional state changed?

Nothing seems terribly upsetting any more. And for some reason, I feel kindly disposed towards most people, when I'd usually think they were all idiots.

I have a feeling I might regret asking this... but aside from the obvious alteration in mental clarity, are you feeling alright?

I don't know. This is the first time I've ever felt like this. It's weird.

Occasionally, but I was referring to the strange occurrences in general.

Maybe all this weirdness is just temporary, then. I don't know if I can how to live like this long-term.

I'm always a pleasant conversationalist. I can't help it if people don't know how to listen to me when I'm normal.

If what you said about my "mental clarity" is right, then I should be pretty sure, shouldn't I?

Normally, I'd be all too eager to agree with you on that.

But I don't believe I've ever seen you strike anything out before.

There's no reason for me to do it when I'm normal, since I believe 100% of everything I write or say, even when I contradict myself a sentence later.

And that's the trick: when I'm normal, I've got all the energy in the world to deal with it. I can just keep going and going, no problems.

You're just... Thinking normally differently, all of the sudden? Maybe you should go to the hospital wing.

Yeah, it's different alright. Would they even be able to do anything, though? I don't know what they can do for something that's all in my head.

I'm not sure they could do much, but I don't imagine you'd want to go to Saint Mungo's. I know I wouldn't.
