So, it looks like Slytherin has taken the lead in house points. As such, I have one thing to say to you all;
Mwahahahaha. Today, the House Cup. Tomorrow, the world.

No, wait, just everything about that is odd. Are you feeling okay, Herbert?

And I'm fine, thank you for asking. Actually, I feel quite well today. Very relaxed. I was going to try and find Holmes and ask him about his dead goat, do you want to come?
no subject
Hmmm, I feel as though I should pursue further information onto your emotional status, however dead goats are cool. So let's do that instead!

[And if Eriq comes, he'll find an uncharacteristically smiling and excited looking Herbert, though it might just be because dead goat awesome.]

Hey.

I think first, we need permission to do things with it to begin with, don't you?
no subject
Well, yes, of course, but you know, Holmes is interested in that sort of thing usually! I mean, he's not like us, but I do think he's keen on forensics, and if he hasn't done anything with his goat yet, I doubt he'd mind if we did. He can be an arse, but really, he's much better than a lot of the other students.

And what about Professor Mercer? They are her goats still, technically. But I'm glad you're making something resembling friends. It sounds like you know how to talk to him well enough.

Yes, you did. I just figured I ought to at least mention the Professor, since Aranea was concerned. But you're right. This is too good of an opportunity to miss.
no subject
[He grins again, far too excited to be concerned about things like teachers and detention and abominations of nature.] God, where is he?
no subject
Yes, yes they can. Very stupid indeed.
[sighs, rolling his eyes] Patience, Herbert, we just got here. It'll take more than a bit of walking around to find him.

Anyway, I haven't had anything but insects to play with up until now, and a goat's much more complex than that!
no subject
[He pats the Ravenclaw's arm affectionately] Yes, it certainly is. I'm so glad you have this wonderful opportunity ahead of you!

[Quietly, he adds] And yes, yes it really is.

It's going to be brilliant.

[wants it]
[so much]

You know, it's the funniest thing, but I really do like looking at you. I never really expected that. [He laughs, quietly at what he considers his own foolishness, then leans in and presses a clumsy little kiss to the corner of his friend's mouth.]
no subject
[He freezes a little at the kiss, then forces himself to relax, turning his head to return the gesture]

You're obviously in a very good mood then.

Sherlock killed his goat. Herbert and I are going to poke at it!
no subject
Have you checked with Professor Mercer that that's alright? The goat was her property after all.
no subject
Well, noooooooo. First we have to find Sherlock and confirm it anyway.
no subject
Well. I know you and Her8ert will take this as a good chance for science, 8ut you will 8e respectful of it, yes? It was a living thing once.

Weren't we in the negatives last week? What happened?

Now that you mention it, I should probably turn in my homework sometime soon.
