[He bites his bottom lip when he glances in the direction of the windowsill before nodding. It would probably be better than standing, given Gamzee's height. Karkat moved over to the ledge, giving a small sigh, just a puff of breath really, as he hefted himself up onto it, watching the taller Slytherin with weary eyes, not knowing what to expect. There was no turning back now.]

[Gamzee moves up until he's nearly flush up to the wall, then gives Karkat a lopside smile.] I ain't gonna hurt you, best friend.

[One hand comes up to cup the side of Karkat's face, and this part, at least, is easy. He knows how to touch the smaller boy, does it all the time - it's not new at all. Then he leans in and gently presses his lips to the Gryffindor's, a simple experiment.]

I know you won't.

[He feels as though he has to reply to that, although he doesn't really know why. He inhales a sharp intake breath when Gamzee touches his face, nothing aside from the ordinary right now. When their lips touch, his body stiffens, hands pressed against the bench underneath him. This is his first kiss, and there's some strange kind of regret in the pit of his stomach that he couldn't share it with Jade, but he pushes it down.]

[Pulling back just a half an inch, Gamzee murmurs against Karkat's lips] Relax, bro.

[This is his first kiss, too, and it kind of sucks that it's just with a friend who only wants to do it to impress a girl, but beggars can't be choosers. Karkat's his best friend, whether the little Gryffindor accepts that or not, and there are definitely worse people in the world to be doing this with. People who don't care about him at all, for one.

He presses back in, lightly putting his lips to Karkat's again, and then again. They're gentle kisses, small echoes of the times he's done this to his friend's forehead or the back of his neck in pure affection.]

[Karkat attempted to relax and marginally succeeds, though he's still a little stiff as always. He let his head tilt up, meeting Gamzee's lips in an attempt to reclaim some of his self esteem, wherever the hell it's gone. He knows how kissing works, but the feel of the other's mouth on his is foreign and strange. Eventually, he tilts his head, moving it in so he could initiate his own kiss.]

[Gamzee smiles against the smaller boy's mouth, letting him kiss the Slytherin, then murmuring] Shit, yeah, like that, try that one again.

Like this? [Karkat pauses to lick his lips briefly, wetting them a little before he kisses the other again, this time with only the slightest hesitancy, unlike before.]

[mo_cara]

[Oh, yeah, that's nice, Gamzee likes the slightly damp lips. He drapes one arm over Karkat's shoulder, letting out a soft breath after the kiss is done.] Yeah, just like that, that's a good one.

[It was weird, but it wasn't that unpleasant really. He tried to ignore the pounding in his chest, swallowing deeply before moving his head forward to kiss Gamzee again.]

[Gamzee lets him do it, lips slightly partly, and makes a soft sighing noise. This time, though, he moves his mouth just a little, making it more than just a simple touching of two sets of lips, trying to make it what he assumes is a more proper kiss, his own mouth opening just slightly. He doesn't try to add tongue or anything, though, it's still pretty simple.]

[No. Nooooo tongue. That would just weird him out even more than he was feeling already. Wait, wasn't this the part where he was supposed to place his hands on Gamzee's hips or something? Karkat couldn't think with the other's lips against his, so he just raised his arms, linking them around the taller Slytherin's shoulders.]

[The move brings Gamzee's hands to naturally fall to the smaller boy's hips, resting there lightly as they experiment with finding the best way to fit their lips together, soft kiss following soft kiss in a way that's making the tips of his ears heat up under all his hair.]

[If this was how it felt to kiss someone, then it was intoxicating, just like everything the romance novels said it was. Karkat shifted so his knees kept Gamzee there before tilting his head, enclosing his lips over the other's.]

Mmmm. [The noise is soft, into Karkat's mouth, a happy murmur of enjoyment. Gamzee lightly and briefly sucks on the Gryffindor's lower lip, then goes back to the soft, parted lip kisses. His mind feels a million miles away, like when he's high, and the moment is perfect. Maybe they don't kiss like experts, but damn, do they need to when this already feels so sweet?]

[It was perfect. Almost too perfect. Karkat finally manages to get control over himself, at least enough to pull his mouth from Gamzee's, placing his hands on the other's chest as he licked his lips, glancing away.]

[Gamzee blinks as the Gryffindor pulls back, not sure why they'd stopped. He leans in to kiss the smaller boy again, but there are those hands on his chest.] You okay?

[He pauses, searching for the right words to say as he shuffles in his seat, closing his eyes.] Sorry...this was unfair of me...

[mo_cara]

Huh? [Gamzee looks utterly bewildered.]

Asking you to do this was selfish. [Karkat gives his lips a small lick, sighing before looking up at the other.] I'm a selfish bastard.

[mo_cara]

Uh ... what the motherfuck are you talking about?

Asking you to help me learn how to kiss so I can kiss Jade without mistakes. [If he can't say it any clearer than that he doesn't know what will.]

[mo_cara]

Still not seeing what's selfish about that, bro. I mean, I offered, and you gotta get your learn on somehow, don't you? [The taller boy gives him an earnest, puzzled look about it.] You want to be smooth when you all be romancing your lady, ain't no problem there.

[He gives a small sigh, pulling his hands away and placing them on the windowsill.] I still didn't take your feelings into account, dumbass.

[mo_cara]

[frowns] I liked it. So what's the motherfuckin' deal?

[Karkat tilts his head down before shaking it.] Nevermind.
