While I'm sure nobody will care. I'm just letting everyone know that I wont be going to Hogsmead this weekend.

I'm really in no mood for frivolous traipsing about in the local town to be quiet honest. And I will very much enjoy the silence of the tower being quiet.

It will let me catch up on my writing. It's not like I wanted to go out anyway.

[She is sulking because Arthur didn't tell her that he is dating now.]

Just come down to the courtyard please.

[Victoria stares at his writing for a few minutes. She knows better to sass him, even though right now she so desperately wants to. She sharply closes her journal then puts it away before heading down to the courtyard.

Once out there she stands there politely, her hands folded in front of her and her face and back straight. As if she's about to be presented to the minister of magic or the queen.]

[He's waiting, and once she appears he gets to his feet, goes to her and pulls her up in a hug]

I'm sorry, Vickie.

[Any resolve she had to be angry at him melted the instant he wrapped his arms around her, and she immediately clung to his shirt as she let out a shakey breath. Fighting her urge to cry.]

...Th-Through a journal...

I know, I'm an idiot.

[He tightens his arms around her in a light squeeze]

Forgive me?

[Sniffling she tightens her fists against his shirt.]

I thought I wasn't important.

[Of course she forgives him, it goes without saying. But she's not going to point that out just yet.]

You're one of the most important people in my life. I just..

[He sighs]

I panicked, I suppose.

[She buries her face more into him]

Because of who it is, or what I would say?

A little of both.

[He rubs his thumb in an idle circle over her shoulder, then his voice drops and he mumbles against her hair]

You know I love you, don't you?

[She lets out a shuddering breath and nods slowly, knowing she will cry if she speaks right now.]

Good. Don't forget it, because I might not say it again for a while.

[Because it is embarrassing and what is properly expressing emotion]

[Mumbles softly against his shirt]

I was being stupid, wasn't I?

[Sniffs again]

Of course you weren't. I hurt your feelings. Sometimes I forget how sensitive you are.

[He's teasing, but only a little]

[She pouts at his chest]

I... He's not going to take up all your time right? You'll still have time for me?

I'll always have time for you, don't be so silly.

[Clings to him more]

Even... If I told you I was going to help him learn to be less annoying for you?

...

[He doesn't let go of her, but the slight alteration in his posture speaks volumes of how displeased he is to hear that]

... You did what? Why did you do that?

[She speaks very softly]

I bumped into him at Diagon ally, when I was taking our owl to get looked at before school started, when everyone was getting ready for school.

We had tea...

I've known for a while that you... And he was so obvious and... He was desperate enough to want to take me to tea, and he promised he just wanted to make you happy, to make you smile like I did...

So I told him I would train him...

[She pulls back and looks at him with big wet eyes, talking faster.]

But I barely had a chance to do anything with him, before he did this! I promise, Just tried to make him use proper English, and sit straight... Which didn't work...

He... took you for tea? Really?

[Arthur looks a bit less cross at that, and taps the end of her nose with one fingertip]

I suppose I can appreciate the effort.

He paid for it all too, even let me have scones and cake.

[She blinks as her nose is tapped.]

He also said he wants me to smile and be happy.

He- Really? ... huh.

[That has him at a bit of a loss for words]

[She nods at this]

He actually is sweet at times...

You don't completely hate him, then.

[Arthur is still 'unsure'-ing everywhere, but if Victoria isn't angry at him, it helps]

He's still and idiot. But he's an idiot who really is trying. He.. Even felt bad when I replied to his journal.

I should hope he did.

[Huff. Okay, he knows it's not all Alfred's fault, but he's still annoyed]

I told him not to make a fuss.
