While I'm sure nobody will care. I'm just letting everyone know that I wont be going to Hogsmead this weekend. 

I'm really in no mood for frivolous traipsing about in the local town to be quiet honest. And I will very much enjoy the silence of the tower being quiet.

It will let me catch up on my writing. It's not like I wanted to go out anyway.

[She is sulking because Arthur didn't tell her that he is dating now.]

[The decision's on his shoulders, huh? He shoots a quick glance around; there didn't seem to be anyone, thankfully, who was interested in the library at this point.]

I've got a table at the far end. It's quiet and secluded. We can talk there.

[nobodyscrumpet]

[She nods]

Okay, that sounds nice.

[di_intraining]

[He leads her to the back of the library, where true to his word there isn't anyone there but the two of them. Pulling a chair out for her, he waits till she's seated before he takes his own seat. His homework lays scattered everywhere on the table, but they can wait. For now, he wants to just make sure she's ok.]

[nobodyscrumpet]

[She sits down quietly straightening out her skirt putting her hands in her lap. She looks at his homework, reading some of the lines quietly and seeing where he's up to. Then she slowly looks up at him.]

Are you always this spread out?

[Her voice is soft, as she tries to act something like normal.]

[He immediately starts collecting his papers and books together. He's usually a little more tidier than this, but he had to clean up spilt ink.]

Sometimes, yeah. I like working with my books all out.

[She can try, but this is so unlike her that it near disturbs him. He's never seen her so...fragile, would be the closest word he can find. When he's stacked up his material properly to the side, he speaks to her, voice filled with concern.]

I don't think you came to talk about the state of the table though.

[nobodyscrumpet]

[She picks up a book and looks at it slowly, turning it over to look at what's written on the back.]

I just didn't want to be alone, Madeline is out with other friends. Arthur spoke to me before, made me go talk to him, I'm still a little down about it, I didn't want him to worry more.

[di_intraining]

[His face was nearly set in a perpetual frown these days. 5th year was a lot harder than he'd expected; being Quidditch captain was also starting to take its toll. He usually doesn't care what other people say, but it did get annoying to hear the rest of the school look down on the Hufflepuff team before they even got a chance to play.

And then there was this thing with Victoria, Arthur and Alfred.]

Well umm, I've got nothing to do for the rest of the day.

[Lies, he has studies, but he's still more worried about her than them at the moment.]

We could, I dunno, talk? About anything really. I'm fine.

[nobodyscrumpet]

[She puts the book down and looks at him for a moment before pulling her feet up onto the chair and hugs her legs.]

What would you like to talk about?

[di_intraining]

[She did that too, when they were at the lake and she was feeling afraid and miserable. Greg frowned and moved his chair a little closer to her; maybe she was just lonely.]

Well...what are you gonna do after 5th year? Any idea of what job you're aiming for after Hogwarts?

[nobodyscrumpet]

[At the moment she was indeed feeling very lonely. Watching him move closer she made no move to lean away or even acknowledge it.]

I was considering going into 6th year. I've never had any thought of leaving any earlier than I should.

[She pauses for a moment, Victoria knows what she wants, but for some reason she thinks Greg might find it a little silly.]

I want to work in the Ministry, in the muggle relations department.

[di_intraining]

Muggle relations huh? Any particular reason why?

[nobodyscrumpet]

Well, Daddy sort of inspired me.

What with him being a wizard and in the Muggle police force. I though it would be nice to be in the wizarding world helping muggles. There really isn't a lot the magical world understands about muggles after all.

Your dad's in the force?

[Now that's something he never knew.]

He's a Sargent in SOCA division.

[di_intraining]

That's pretty impressive.

My dad wants me to join the force actually, after I graduate. Wants me to get into the CID.

[nobodyscrumpet]

I think the thought of you being in the police force is actually a very fitting idea. It suits you.

I would even say those hats would even suit your head.

[di_intraining]

Really? Why's that?

[nobodyscrumpet]

Because it's pointed.

[She's teasing him again. In fact, she giggled as she wrote it.]

[di_intraining]

[He'll let her slide this time. He even gives her a small smile of his own.]

Ha ha, very funny.

I actually don't mind it, you know. Being compared with them. It was actually my dream as a kid to join the force.

[nobodyscrumpet]

Really? It was?

Somehow I can see you with those little plastic bobbie hats, arresting other children in the streets for littering and being a bully.

[di_intraining]

Well I was thinking of getting involved in more serious crime than public littering.

Actually...I was thinking of working with homicide cases. Murder. Assault. Those kind, you know?

[nobodyscrumpet]

[She smiles.]

I meant went you were little, ducky.

But homicide? Really? A little beastly don't you think?

[di_intraining]

If I did that when I was little, I'd have been beaten up in the alleyway a hundred times over. One boy isn't much against a gang of them, is he?

It is, but I think there's a lot of people who steer clear away from it. If everyone did that, there wouldn't be anyone else left working there, would it?

[nobodyscrumpet]

Well, you do have a point there. As sweet as the thought of you writing little asbos to other little children, you are right about the fact you would get beaten up.

Well no, there wouldn't be. But I'm sure you can do really well in the police force.

How did your dad do it? Get into the force I mean. I don't think you can list Hogwarts down or translate your NEWTs into A-level grades.
