Sunday Afternoon (it's Sunday already here, shhhhh)

Well...

[a few inkblots]

I'm not sure what I was expecting of that commentary, but, I have to say, whatever my expectations were, what we got certainly exceeded them.

So props for that!

It seems like a bit of an extreme thing to put on a 'show' about, don't you think?

Particularly in front of the entire school.

I'm not really wondering about that one. I'm sure it was personal. Why else would he have done it?

You're right, though... it does make you wonder... if it was personal, what the bloody hell is going on there?

I can't see anything quite so dramatic happening.

Then again, with how things have been lately..
di_intraining: (Laugh)

Placeholder, if that's fine with you?

The Ravenpuff team did a whole lot better than I expected! Mercer was so-so, but seeing that she's a Yank from American I think she's more used to Quodpott than Quidditch. I was pretty impressed by the Beaters too; I'd never have thought Ms Maryam could pack such a swing. Professor Rhydderch really surprised me too. He's pretty good at evading stuff, did you see him and Donoghue having it out at each other?
di_intraining: (Slightly annoyed)

Thanks!

[It's just because he's a Quidditch nut. Though when Henry brings up the punch, Greg immediately switches to filters.]

Quidditch is a whole different topic, but you might not want to talk about that punch in public.

Not even about fun stuff like Quidditch, or whatever it is you lot play in France? Hell, that's a lot more strict than here.

Right, I get the idea.

It's funny how things ended up that way. Quadpott's like Wizard's American rugby.

You ask me, Muggles and wizards aren't that different. One side's got magic, the other's got science. And sometimes they've each got a little of each other. I'm not a fan of those fortune telling types, but sometimes you have to wonder about it, you know? Whether there's something actually there.

I was speaking to this chap the other day; crazy bugger. He's this pure-blood fellow who wants to know everything about Muggles, which is great and all but he takes it too seriously. He was asking me about why Muggles like sports. I tried to tell him that we're just like wizards, we play football like Quidditch, but then he asks me this whole other bunch of questions like what sort of injuries you get from getting tackled, how often the injuries happen, why so many Muggles played them and etc. You ask me, he's over-thinking things, but I realised that maybe it doesn't occur to some people that save for the fancy wands and robes Muggles and wizards have more in common then they think.

We do have Muggle Studies class but Purple's...well he's a nice bloke, but sometimes his assignments don't make any sense, even to me.

It'd be nice if there was a little bit more understanding between everyone, but that's wishful thinking.

Also how we're supposed to just switch over to the wizard world, eventhough I've lived my whole life as a Muggle before this. I'm just expected to throw away that part of my life and just embrace this one completely. It's like there can't be a proper balance of things.

You-Know-Who didn't make things any easier for Muggleborns either.

There's just this gap between Muggles and wizards and nobody in the Ministry, the wizarding one that is, is thinking of building a bridge across it. It's one world or the other.

I think it's right sad. I don't even have any friends outside Hogwarts, because how can you explain where you've been the whole bloody year without bringing up awkward questions?

Times like these makes me wish someone would take a stand on it. Haven't seen a single wizarding politician say anything though.

I've heard the Yanks are a little more open, to Muggle culture, that is. We could use a little of that here. Maybe one day it'll spread here. Not holding my breath, but it's a nice thought at least.

At any rate, I've got to get back to my homework. Bloody Transfiguration's killing me, I think I'm going to have to do pull an all-nighter for it. I'll catch you later Henry. Thanks for the chat, it's good to know that I'm not the only who feels the same way about Muggles and wizards.
