I sometimes wish we had a Wizard Studies class. It would be interesting to hear about the different cultures.

History class does not count.

It would be a shame if that were the case. There's no way of knowing which method is really the best unless there's some sort of discussion about it.

You didn't? I suppose you must have learned quite a lot on your own terms.

Perhaps they feel they've already tried and erred enough, or that there is no reason to change tradition. The Houses have existed since the school began for example.

Yes. Mother simply made sure I had the texts, and I studied as I liked. I did have tutors for the last year, of course, to catch me up.
