Ms. Marayam is a hack who deliberately tried to cover up the possibility of a devastating inferi outbreak. Granted, it was a false alarm, but she wasn't to know that, was she?

It sounds a lot to me like you're making a big deal over nothing. Also Ms. Maryam is really nice, you shouldn't say things like that, especially since she can read this and is sort of in charge of your well being.

This may have escaped your undoubtedly unparalleled powers of observation, Babcock, but this school is very secluded.
Meaning that if someone were to start raising inferi, we'd essentially have nowhere to run. That being the case, possible signs of inferi are not "nothing".

And it's entirely possible for someone to be a perfectly nice person and a hack. In fact, the two often go hand in hand.
