[The following comes in at about 7AM.]
26 October
Good Morning! It is not often I am so alert at such an early hour, however: today, I am seventeen. When I return home I can legally drive my father's automobile! If I am lucky, perhaps I will get one of my own.
For now, I will settle for treats. Please leave any sweets you may have for me on my bed, or if you are not in Slytherin then please feel free to respond to arrange a time for me to collect them elsewhere.
I enjoy chocolate. Preferably bold in flavor and not too sugary. Even better if it has taken the form of a baked good.
I do not trust any of you to make Apfelstrudel so please do not attempt it.
Regards,
Roderich

Suggestions would be ideal. I was kind enough to give everyone guidance in that area for my birthday, so naturally I would appreciate the same.
[Deep breath, sighing in resignation as he closes his eyes.]
Fine. Surprise me.

One...
Two... [With a little flourish of his wand, Feliks will levitate a very rich looking chocolate cupcake an arm's length from Roderich.]
Three!
no subject
Ahh, good, good, you paid attention. [He reaches to take it.] Thank you very much, Feliks. I trust you haven't hexed it with anything silly.
no subject
Well, not exactly a hex.
no subject
...So what is it. Is it just repelled by me or can no one get to it?
[Because if he could get someone to feed him... hmm. No, no, then it'd still jump away from his face.]
no subject
[The cupcake floats ahead.] It wants you to follow it! Come on, get up!
no subject
[There is a long pause as he watches the cupcake float away, pouting. As soon as he sees it's about to head towards the bushes he gives up on his pride and bolts after it.]
no subject
You know like on karaoke tapes how when you're singing there's that little ball that guides you through to the end of the song?
The cupcake is like, the ball in this scenario.
no subject
[And as soon as the cupcake changes course, Roderich finds himself face first in that bush.
After a while of being stuck there with his ass in the air, he slowly picks up his dignity from its shattered pieces on the ground, emerging with a few minor scratches on his face. And with that, he glares at Feliks.]
...Well I'm fairly certain I heard a final cadence so I should hope the song is over. [Roderich that didn't even make any sense.]
J-Just let me have the godforsaken cupcake!!
no subject
Eventually Feliks' laughter pitters out to a giggle and he halts the cupcake's advancement.]
Okay okay, you can have the cupcake now.
Of course you'll be missing out on the best part of my gift, but if that's what you really want. [Feliks tries to lace the last part of that sentence with as much intrigue and mystery as his voice will allow.]
no subject
But pauses at that comment, rolling his eyes.]
What now.
no subject
[Feliks doesn't want to give the gift away as a whole yet, but apparently more enticing was in order.] What if I told you that if you follow that cupcake, you totally never have to worry about craving cupcakes ever again.
[Assuming that should do the trick, Feliks starts bouncing back to an entrance of the castle with the floating cupcake.] Or you know at least until you graduate.
no subject
He gets up, walking slowly this time after the cupcake, following it into the entrance, calling back over his shoulder.] No more nonsense?
no subject
And you're on a totally mysterious mission following at pastry, I think the request for no more nonsense has like totally passed by now.
[Said pastry leads them on a decent walk past the Hall of Hexes and onwards through Poltergeist Passage.]
no subject
[He follows it, slowly. Going through those passages is unsettling, to say the least. His posture is inward, and he's noticing that he's cold. He, too, knows his propensity for getting lost, and he's afraid he won't ever find his way back. At least not at a reasonable hour. And he can't help but think that Peeves is just staring at him, waiting to do something ridiculous.]
I'm going to get detention for this...
