The chances of me getting a turkey the size of Rogers over Thanksgiving is high.

Everyone not American might not get it. But history aside, a turkey the size of non-muscular Gryffindors is really the only reason to celebrate the day.

Please tell me I'm not the only one looking forward to edible monster birds?

I am not sure what you are talking about, but eating a large bird does sound rather enjoyable.

It's one of those American holidays that we lose our minds over. It's a big thing, I promise. Family togetherness, historical significance, and a 50 foot floating snoopy.

Is a snoopy a type of American food?

Snoopy's a national hero. He shot down the Red Baron in the first Muggle World War.

Believe me, there isn't a man, woman, or child in the US who doesn't know about Snoopy.

So the celebration is in honor of him?

We celebrate him. But thanksgiving isn't in honor of those who we have floating as balloons.

We're actually giving thanks for the English tricking the natives into giving us their land in the broadest sense.

Well, I suppose that makes as much sense as the English celebrating a man who tried and failed to overthrow the government.

There's always a reason to celebrate someone, even if they fail, kid. It just sounds stupid later on I guess.

It really is. And what ever the past reasons are, Thanksgiving is just a great day to enjoy what you're eating and sometimes the company you're in.
