I hope you're right. I've gotten decent marks before this. I wouldn't want my grade to drop because of it.

But is that how it works? Can someone just become magical? Isn't it hereditary?

It probably is, Dirk. But I'm not an expert on the matter, y'know? I'm sure somebody back down the line must've been magical, but as far as I personally know, I'm the only one in a longass while. Ma, pa, ain't none of them ever mentioned a wizard. Which is why they thought I was such a freak, I guess, since it was such a foreign concept.
