[Ever since that event, Celty can't help but thinking about her past lately. While she could say she was lucky that she wasn't affected...she was a little envious.]
How is everyone doing? I hope that you're well and that nothing dangerous has happened to everyone!
[Hm...]
There's something I want to ask, it might be some food for thought. If you had a second chance to go back and fix something, would you do it?

'Cause here's the thing, right? Here's the kicker. Are you ready for it? Are you sure?! It's a REAL doozy!
The thing is... time is unchangeable. That's just a fact. Forwards, backwards, sideways - time keeps us on the straight and narrow and is one of the few things in the universe that will have none of our guff as a species. And we're expert guff-producers, the best in the business!!
So, faced with something that refuses to change for anyone, I'd love to go back and break that rule!

Who's well?! Me? Oh Celty. Celty, Celty, Celty. Hardly. I'm hardly well! In fact, I'm sick! Sick in my heart. Sick in my heavy, yearning heart with the absence of Quidditch to announce this month. It's so sad, sad, sad, sad, saaaad.
So sad that it's strangely, nostalgically beautiful and allows me to focus on the joys of this merry holiday season! Yeah, with Quidditch out of the way, I can think about something else! It's the most wonderful time of the year!! How about you - does this month fill you with as much happiness as it does me?

[Hm...]
A little bit, it's nice to see everyone happy and getting gifts. Not to mention the snow is pretty on trees. So it's nice to see everything so relaxed.

Only...TWO...?!
[Inkblots, inkblots, a veritable SEA of inkblots!]
Whoever said this is the merriest season, that this is the best time of the year, is a liar! The filthiest of no-good, rotten, heartless liars!! The very worst!
Yeah yeah yeah, I dunno how this season came to get such a great reputation. Just LOOK at it! The trees are dead and covered in rain that doesn't even have the decency to be actual liquid! People open up colorful and elaborately wrapped presents to find PLAIN WHITE SOCKS! Christmas is a trick, a trick to fool people into not seeing how awful the season really is!

I didn't say it has to be the merriest time of the year but it is rather nice. I don't mind spending it with my friends and spending time together.
If you think it is a trick, then what you think Christmas really?

A miserable little pile of secrets!!
Think about it! You got gifts wrapped up under a tree for days if not weeks, taunting you with the secrets they hold! Then there's the tree itself! Who first thought to throw a bunch of lights and tinkly, wonderfully, beautifully breakable ornaments on it? The general answer (some dead guy) is obvious, but the specifics are lost to time! Mothers and fathers telling lies to rosy-cheeked babies about the world-traveling habits of fat bearded men! When you really dig down deep - deeper than anything, deep all the way down the the MOLTEN CORE of the issue - it's all secrets and lies!!
Also Ladd usually makes it to the main family house and he really gets into tellin' all the great stories of what he's got up to since I last saw him. Yeah. Yeaaaahhh. Christmas is the best!!

But that's part of Christmas though, there's an innocence to it and there's children who want to believe in it. I don't agree with what parents telling lies to their children but if that's what they want to do, I can't argue with them.
After all, I don't think it's a bad idea to have children believe in something.

Oh but wait just a minute here. What I've got going for me isn't even belief anymore, is it? Belief is thinking something even though there's no proof, yeah? Meanwhile I've got mountains of evidence to support my claim. Forget beliefs! Facts are where it's at!
