Well, well, well, what a fine turn-up this is. What a shocking twist has popped up in this series of events! I tell you - you think you got the whole story figured out, think you know exactly how everything's gonna play out, ho-hum... and WHAM! Something shows up to surprise you. That's such a fine microcosm for life itself that I can barely even stand it!

So what is this, Hogwarts? Here I am, sitting in the Gryffindor common room like my presence here isn't quite the oddity! Are you coming crawling back to me? Are you on your knees, crying regrets and pleading for forgiveness? Are you reaching up to caress my face imploringly?

That's nice. That's swell.

Are you gonna unbreak my wand??

[ooc: AU!Graham wound up using a bit of magic along with his fists during the big brawl he got into during the Quidditch World Cup over the summer. As a result, he wasn't kicked off the Quidditch team - he was outright expelled. He never returned to school for his 6th year and has been full-time muscle for the magic mafia Russo crime family.]

[Thor doesn't normally understand most of what Graham is saying, but this is particularly concerning. He's going to ignore the CONCERNED JOURNAL MESSAGE and skip straight to wandering out into the common room so he can stare at Graham.]

What is the matter now, Specter?

[Graham is lounging in one of the chairs, resting his head in his left hand while flipping a large wrench with a bit of something red crusted on it with his right. Though his pose looks casual, there's a tenseness in his body language and a tightness in his grin.]

Thor! What a sight for sore eyes, long-time-no-see, etc. etc. other pat words for distance and sentimentality!!

What's the matter? What's the matter with me? That should be obvious! That should be blisteringly, blindingly obvious! Getting expelled is a pretty BIG matter, don't you think? Especially so when you suddenly find yourself in the place that kicked you out, months after the fact!

[Thor quirks an eyebrow at the wrench, but he tries not to look terribly judgemental over it. Graham is allowed to have his hobbies, even if Thor has no idea what they are or what the wrench is for.]

You needn't be so dramatic! It's hardly been a day since you last saw me. [He grins for a moment before it falls from his face.]

Expelled? You were expelled? When? Who will announce quidditch now!?

Are you not usually in the common room? That would stand to reason, given your dynamic nature.

In any case, I'm very sorry to hear about your wand, but it probably isn't entirely beyond repair. I can't say I know very much about wand-craft, but anything infused with that much magic must have a certain capacity for healing.

[inkblots] ... the hell are you talking about, Shinra? How cold! How cruel! Your callousness is breaking my heart in twain here! You were one of the first people I told about getting expelled, and here you are acting like it's even POSSIBLE to get my wand repaired when it was the Wizengamot themselves who took it and snapped it apart!

And I would've done it if they'd asked me! Damn! What a rip-off! Expelled and I don't even get the luxury of snapping my own wand!
