It's been a bit quiet in the castle lately. Understandable, because I think a lot of people are home for the holidays.

So I was wondering - how many people are here, and how many of you want to have a little get together? It'll be better then sitting around not doing anything, and I could probably get help from the house elves as far as food goes.

If anyone wants to do this, just come talk to me, Steve Rogers.

Parents went to the States for business so I'm still here. I've been catching up on reading so I haven't left the dorms that often recently.

A get together sounds like fun though. :)

Surprisingly enough, yes. :)

The Great Hall should be fine - if there's a lot of people there's space, and if there's only a few people we can just take over one of the House tables.

I don't like party parties where you have to get dressed up, are expected to dance, and be in a room full of strangers all at once. Steve's just suggesting a small get-together and those are fun. :)

[In other words he's pretty sure he's not invited, other than in that whole open invitation sort of way in which Steve can't get away with specifically excluding him, and besides, Steve is one of Bruce's other friends, the ones who get to know his secret and help him with it. The group of which Herbert is very, very definitely not a part.]

You should come anyway. That way I can make sure you actually eat something instead of wasting away to nothing with your head stuck into your studies. :)

Besides, it'll be nice to spend time together out of the dorms.

Look at it logically. If you're protecting me from socializing, and then you're socializing yourself, it doesn't really work, does it? I mean, unless I'm meant to stand in a corner while you tell everyone I don't want to talk to anybody, which sounds like a fairly crap time.

It's obviously best that you go and I do what I've been doing.

Does it matter? Steve seems keen on doing this between Christmas and New Year's anyway, so unless you wanted a kiss from me at midnight I don't see what the problem is. :T
