[Karkat doesn't even bother closing his journal, he just leaves it with the rest of his books in the library and runs off to the tower. It takes him a while with stairs changing on him and his tiny legs but he get's there and just drops down next to his best friend, hugging him.]

[Gamzee's sitting cross legged next to the stone wall that surrounds the tower, just staring out with a melancholy expression. He intends to go back down to his room eventually and dig out all the even mildly intoxicating substances he can get his hands on and ingest them, possibly all at once, but for right now he can't go anywhere, he just feels numb.

When Karkat drops down next to him, it's automatic to wrap his arms around the smaller boy in return, to tip his head down and bury his face in the Gryffindor's hair, sighing.]
