[dark eyes flick to the shoulder, and Herbert has to remind himself that it's no big deal, that he's seen it before, it's fine, nothing to get excited about]

Are you done with it now? I could help, if you're not. I mean, when we're done with the the other.

[Shrugs.]

Nah, I did most of it today anyway. Now I'm just a bit too woozy to bother with the rest.

All right. [Probably can't make up some excuse to draw this out too much, then, or Bruce'll just fall asleep on him. Of course, a naked boy he fancies falling asleep on him isn't exactly a bad thing ... ]

Should I get started, then? I don't want to be pestering you. [Is pretty sure Bruce is going to say he isn't, and then he can feel free to stay a little longer. >.>]

[Smiles wearily at him.]

You're never pestering me, you know that. You can stay until the moon starts rising if you want.

[Yawns and leans forward, letting the blanket drop completely from his shoulders to pool around his lap.]

Have at ye.

[Herbert swallows hard, then clears his throat to try and cover it, before he raises a hand and hesitantly places it on Bruce's bare shoulder- oh. Dear.]

Is there anywhere that's particularly sore? [manages to get out evenly, as he pulls his wand and lights it, to better examine the other boy's skin]

Mm, not really - the rawness fades after a few hours of being human again so it's just the new wounds that throb a bit.

[Indicates at a fresh set of angry red claw marks on one forearm as example. Yeah, he's got them ALL OVER including his back and front.]

[The smaller boy frowns, taking Bruce's arm and examining the depth of the wounds.] I thought the Wolfsbane potion was supposed to stop this sort of thing?

[Shrugs.]

It itches at the start of the transformation. Can't stop myself scratching by the time the claws come out.

Hmm. Perhaps there's a time delay charm that can be used to trim your claws. [He hauls his bag up onto the couch and opens it, digging through to pull out a small bottle of a potion, then a pot of salve. As distracting as it is to have an almost naked Bruce Banner sitting next to him, Herbert IS interested in all things medical, and that's enough, for now, to keep him from having inappropriate physical reactions or focusing too much on all that bare skin.]

Do these itch? [asks as he uncorks the bottle, and gets out a bit of gauze to smoke with a sharp, medicinal smelling fluid]

[Shakes his head, lifting his knees to his chest so he can rest his cheek on them, smiling tiredly.]

They just kind of throb before the change starts later. Once the full moon time's up some of them itch a bit but that's all.

That's easy enough to remedy. [little smirk, then will start on Bruce's arms, since he's covered up his chest with his knees ... he gently but efficiently starts cleaning the wounds with the potion and gauze, leaving a cool, tingling sensation behind as the skin starts to knit together slowly]

Can I ask you something? Do you keep the werewolf senses at all, even after the change? I mean, do you notice how people smell, can you hear really well, things like that?

Yeah, some of it. I can see pretty well in the dark but my eyesight itself is still crap. My sense of smell and hearing are both better than before I got infected- [Pauses, frowning and scratching the back of his neck] Uh, no, I didn't have any improvements in my senses after getting bitten but more after dad and I experimented with it.

[Shakes head and turns so Herbert can get at his back which is already badly scarred up even without the new raw red lines criss crossing over the pale skin.] Anyway, yes. It's why I get nauseous in potions a lot of the time, since the smell can get pretty overwhelming, especially when someone manages to botch up their potion and make it smell even more noxious than it needs to be... Sitting in the Great Hall can be a nightmare sometimes because even whispering can sound like someone talking in a loud voice depending on how close to the surface the wolf is-

[Bruce babbles when he's tired - can you tell?]

[Herbert's content to let him do so - it might distract from the fact that his hands are lingering a little longer than necessary on the other boy's back, that they might be feeling out the muscle a little bit, in between applications of potion and salve.]

Is there anything good about it? I mean, smells you like, or things like that?

Mm, it's comforting. [Leans into his hands because mm, back rubs.]

I mean, even if I can't see or feel any of you guys I can smell you in the dorms when I come in and it's really good because I can relax and feel safe and all that. [Yawns, leaning head forward so his nape's exposed.] Don't like Sherlock's experiments with dead things though. And I really don't like it when I can smell which students have been getting frisky with each other because that musk just lingers and ugh.

[Oh. Well. If he's not going to object, Herbert might just linger a little longer, even, kneading his finger into the muscle as he bites into his lower lip.]

You can tell that? [asks, startled, and then without thinking about it, adds] Well, I don't guess I ever have to worry about that. [trying to cover quickly, he adds] Why don't you like it? You just don't want to have to think about people doing it, or it actually smells really bad?

[Leans more into Herbert's hands and hums before answering.]

Mm, a bit of both. It doesn't smell bad but you can feel a bit hot under the collar when you get a whiff of it, if you know what I mean.

[There's a very pregnant pause before Herbert finally manages an] Oh. Yes. I guess I know what you mean.

[going to just keep rubbing and be glad Bruce can't see his beet red face right now] I guess that must be uncomfortable when Stark gets back from being out with girls.

[Because he's pretty sure none of the rest of them are fooling around with any one.]

[Snorts.] Yeah right, he doesn't get that far with girls.

[Yawns and rubs the back of his neck.] Honestly the majority of Ravenclaw doesn't do much in terms of that. Though sometimes someone gets lucky. It's just, I'd rather not know who they're getting lucky with, you know? But then you can smell them on each other.

Isn't it just mostly ... you know, people's boyfriends and girlfriends? [curiously, and then sliding his hands up to where Bruce was rubbing at his neck, he works his thumbs in firmly there, kneading the muscle]

Not necessari- [breaks off into a low moan, dropping his hand and head so Herbert can work his magic fingers more.]

[Well, that's the second time he's gotten a near instant erection in one night. His hands falter briefly, and he makes a soft, involuntary noise of shock at Bruce's moan, before he bites into his lip as hard as he can and starts rubbing again, mind racing to his anatomy books to remember which muscles go where, how he should rub.]

Y-you get sore, don't you? [he asks, after a few moments, inordinately pleased when his voice doesn't crack]

[Doesn't notice Herbert's problem because HNNGH YES YES YES-

Moans again and answers lazily:]

Yeah, a lot. For a guy who's meant to be relaxing, I tense up easy I guess... Oh, there-

[Herbert immediately focuses on the spot Bruce indicates, working his fingers firmly into the muscle, his stomach fluttering madly. He knows damn well this'll never lead to anything, but it certainly is providing fantasy fodder for another lonely night in his bed back at the dorm.]

Your condition probably has something to do with it, too. [He lets the fingertips that aren't working into the werewolf's muscle lightly stroke through Bruce's hair, a gentle, ghosting touch.]

Probably yeah... [Bruce groans and shivers as the fingers move through his hair. He manages a quietly mumbled and amused:] Getting a massage and a skin-care service? Not that I'm complaining.

I told you I'd help you with things after your change. [defensively, but he doesn't move his hands, because if Bruce isn't complaining, he isn't going to give up on touching him absolutely as much as he's allowed] I think this qualifies.
