Valentine's Day is coming up in a few weeks, so I feel like it's worth asking some romance related questions. Mostly, I ask now because I'm sure I'll be busy later. I'm mostly curious.

Do you believe in love at first sight or true love? I'm not going to ridicule your answer, that would hardly be professional. Me? I can't believe such sentiments, as nice as they sound.
[She'd love to believe that, but Rose was much too cynical for such rubbish. There's a lot of reasons as to why, but she isn't going to talk about those. Ever.]

If you're with someone and expecting them to do something for the occasion, what would you be expecting? I suppose I'm asking what your ideal would be. Just chocolate and flowers or the whole ten yards?

I agree with you there.

...wow, I'm a romantic and even I'd never be that cheesy. At least it wasn't some of the awful pick up lines I've heard at clubs. My personal favorite was overhearing some guy compliment a girl on her outfit, she smiled and thanked him and he replied with "It'd look great on my bedroom floor."
She threw a drink in his face. It was hilarious and well deserved I think.

I would really hope that a line like that wouldn't score any points. If it actually ever worked I think my faith in humanity would drop a little.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no angel myself, but I at least am respectful when I'm first meeting someone.

I thought it was pretty awesome myself. I anonymously sent her over another drink for it.

Ugh. I'd hardly call those words to woo by. I don't think the kind of girl who would actually go for something like that is one I'd want to hang out with.

It's not like it's hard to be polite. It's kind of sad that common sense isn't so common these days.

It's no big deal.I figured she deserved something nice that evening at least.

Too true. I know some of the things I've overhead I'd have gotten my mouth smacked by my Mum if she'd have heard me saying it.

Culture and technology has changed dating a lot too. People don't really even date properly anymore. It's just become a hook up culture.

I suppose it's much worse for ladies than dudes.

I've always found courtship to be the fun part of starting a new relationship.

Not me. I'd much rather work at winning someone over.
Don't you think it would be fun to be swept off your feet though?
