This is perhaps the strangest hallucination I have ever experienced. Tactile is not generally a component nor do I tend to believe I've lived two different childhoods. Can't be H.O.U.N.D. and I haven't used. Lucid dreaming, perhaps? Most likely though in that case I have rather lost control. Very odd indeed, but then I do seem to harbor the belief that this book will populate itself with responses and that I'm at a school for learning magic. It hardly does to only call one thing odd when so much is absolutely ridiculous. But I believe it. That shouldn't be possible.

I'll have to consider carefully how to move forward from here. I'm not sure how but it could be Moriarty. Makes as much sense as anything.

[Tony has considered the journal for a while, then after letting a deliberate ink drop fall, he starts to write, his handwriting hasn't changed all that much, just gotten tighter and clearly more practiced that comes with years of homework then forms and paperwork to work on.]

I really want to say that sounds kind of far fetched. But I've had kind of a weird morning myself.
not_a_hero: (Smug?)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-21 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, I saw you asleep in the room. You must be rather pleased to have such noticeable facial hair now.
arrogantalloy: (A: 015 Oh yeah okay)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-21 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I've had this look since I was about 17-18. Sure, it's a look that makes the man, but really, don't give it that much thought anymore. And other than thinking your parents really liked to read, I can't really say that I've ever met you before.
not_a_hero: (Nope! My way.)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-21 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't remember me? John did. I suppose you're a version of Tony Stark who has no memory of being an annoying fourteen year old Ravenclaw. Rather takes the fun out of things. No matter, you can still prove useful if your alternate childhood counterpart is anything to go by.
arrogantalloy: (A: 021 You for real)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-21 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah people keep saying that. But I remember being an annoying 14 year old in American boarding schools, and being screened for early admission to M.I.T. So no, really don't have any memories that I've never had.

Also, what makes you think I'm going to be useful for you? I'm generally not even all that helpful to people I do know.

Because you're another anomaly. John has the body of a man twice his age but only the memories of the boy who should be at this school while I have my proper body but my memories have been merged with those of the Sherlock at Hogwarts. Then, obviously, there's you. It seems rather random. I wonder if magic is always this inconsistent.
arrogantalloy: (A: 089 Not listening)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-21 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Anomaly? Really not going out of your way to make me want to help you other there.

And yeah, magic isn't real.
not_a_hero: (Uh huh)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-21 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
You'll help me anyway. I'm interesting and sound like I know what's going on.

While I would generally agree with you, I can't. I have another lifetime of memories which include the use of magic from their earliest. This place is a scholastic institution for teaching magic to children, in fact. Just look at the paintings, if you will. It's not a trick of machinery, they really are moving.

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, not really thinking that's a good enough reason. I can figure things out on my own. Sort of what I'm known for.

Yeah, not really convincing. I can make half of the stuff here do what it does without claiming 'magic'. So can't really convince me of that. The main thing I'm curious about is the way they're delivering the power to everything while there's an EM blocker in place disrupting all of my own tech.
not_a_hero: (Is that so)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
It's for safety. Most wizard children don't understand technology and there are some muggle children at school. Best not to give them too many distractions or means to contact the muggle world while invested in the wizarding one.
arrogantalloy: (A: 039 Let's get this straight)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that safety feature nearly killed me. So I'm kind of calling doubt on that.
not_a_hero: (Not the best of moods)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Pacemaker? At your age? I wasn't aware you had a family history of heart disease.
arrogantalloy: (A: 064 Interesting)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Electromagnet and a power generator, keeps shrapnel out of my heart. But yeah, a high tech pacemaker kind of works for a basic and easy assessment, I guess.
not_a_hero: (A clue! A clue!)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Gone to the medical wing?
arrogantalloy: (A: 036 Coffee!)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't get much of a choice in the decision. I have hours before damage starts being done.
not_a_hero: (And I was like..)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
And you still don't believe in magic?
arrogantalloy: (A: 041 Not pleased)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
There's a logical reason behind it.

A lot of people think that the technology I produce comes from a sci fi movie, because it's so much more advanced than anything else out on the market. I mean I have a friend from the forties who was surprised that phones are so small and don't need cords anymore. It's all perspective. This is just a kind of technology or way of doing things that I've never seen before.
not_a_hero: (Are you trying to be stupid?)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
I really hate to have to continue to defend this but it really is magic. Leave it to you to be stubborn, Stark, even in the face of proof.
arrogantalloy: (A: 029 Homework)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
It's not stubborn, it's just exhausting all other possible notions. Occam's razor kind of thing.
not_a_hero: (I wonder if they have beer on the sun)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Well, once you've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains must be possible. Hopefully you'll come to the correct conclusion before you're too much more of an idiot.
arrogantalloy: (A: 010 Really)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Not really into making friends. Are you?
not_a_hero: (Smug?)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
No. Waste of time when I know I'm right.
arrogantalloy: (A: 014 Okay you're going to bring that u)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-22 11:23 am (UTC)(link)
Right about what? Me being a stupid? Because you're kind of really off base there.
not_a_hero: (Distant)

[personal profile] not_a_hero 2013-04-22 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
You're generally not stupid but your insistence that magic is not real is.
arrogantalloy: (A: 060 Serious face)

[personal profile] arrogantalloy 2013-04-23 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
Because I've never seen magic that couldn't be explained with a trick door, or through scientific wonder.
