[This was private, or at least she could have sworn it was private, but apparently her extreme state of mind just up and sapped her magic.]

I guess they really are pretending Hogwarts doesn't exist

I volunteered to do it...I don't mind, I'm used to getting yelled at. I just wanted to help.

[He is just going to take a moment to massage his temples. Honestly he wondered sometimes if she knew how worrying some of what she said really was.]

[She honestly does not at all, it is mere fact of life to her.]

[He stares. For a long moment he just stares. And then he sighs- Xion, why did you have to make life so difficult for him? He was already old enough, worrying over you would just cut precious years from what little time he has left.

But with that sigh, he heads to the music room, arriving as quickly as possible.]

Xion, please come out from under the piano.

[She scoots out from underneath and brushes off her skirt, seeming to be hesitant to speak after all the fuss.]

Hello, Professor...how has your day been?

I will be honest with you; it hasn't been particularly the best. My brother is here and we don't particularly get along. Students are upset over their dead parents showing up unexpectedly. And then I find out you've been hiding under a piano... Do you have any idea how worried I was? Especially after your journal entry.

[He didn't mean to go off on a tangent- and it's really not a mean one, his voice is concerned if anything, he's not angry with her. Just very worried.]

[Xion immediately deflates at that anyway and shakes her head.]

No, I'm sorry, I won't do it again.

[And then he feels terrible. He lets out a sigh, going over to her.]

No, no...I'm sorry, I shouldn't be so hard on you... You're just being yourself, there's nothing wrong with that! I just care about you and want you to be happy. If hiding under a piano makes you happy, then I'm just going to have to accept that, aren't I?

[He offers her a smile, holding out his arms in an invitation for a hug.]

[...And it completely goes over her head what the gesture means, she's not used to seeing it from adults.]

It doesn't really make me happy...I guess I was just hiding from the ghosts, I think Kyouko's okay now so...I wanted to be alone. [A shrug as she sits down on the piano bench, looking down at the floor.] I want everyone to be happy.

[Iroh's arms fall to his side awkwardly. Well, that was... Welp.]

Xion, you can't make everyone happy. Your happiness should always come first!

[He goes over and sits on the piano bench next to her, placing an arm on her shoulder.]

Next time, instead of hiding under a piano, you contact me. I'll keep everything away.
