[Dirk has glanced from his homework to the journal his uncle got him for over an hour now. Writing something in there sounded like a lot more fun than trying to catch up on assignments after missing so much school. He hasn't a clue of what to say, so he just rolls with the first thing that comes to mind.]

I can't wait for the school year to end.
It's getting ridiculously difficult to keep up with all of my assignments, especially knowing that in September, I start at Hogwarts.
Regular school work is boring in comparison to the idea of learning magic.
Plus, summer will be awesome for reasons.

I'm pretty sure everyone does.
So what are you doing now if your muggle schoolwork is boring you?

Isn't your family wizards? Why don't you ask if they can get you some textbooks or something. That could be entertaining at least.

If he's a teacher he should have something. Or be able to get you something quick.
Diagon Alley? That's always interesting.

Ask.
Even if he doesn't, he should be able to get you your hands on something. You're allowed to study the theoretical before you start.

Busy. Not like the rest of London. Seems older, if that makes sense. Which is natural when you think about it.
