My dad was in the military so he was always away on business or in the war.
But...there are other people that care about you.

The only way to free a house elf is to give it clothing, but I don't think a lot of wizards do that.
Not that the house elves would want it at all.
They're kinda slaves that way I guess.

I room with one, and I'm friends with a couple.

The guy used the Unforgivables and brainwashed a lot of people.
I don't know much else since I don't pay attention to politics or the news or whatever.
