I never realised how many of you used make up. It's kinda amusing.

Speaking of appearances though, is anyone good with hair? I'm going to need a trim before summer so Ma doesn't flip and drag me to one of her salons. That's a hell on Earth I never want to go back to. So cutting it myself isn't an option.

I heard that one of the male professors was trying, but failed to succeed. I didn't think make up was so complicated.

Are you kiding me? Everything is tiny and fiddly from what I've learnt from Ma. So many chances to stab yourself in the eye or smudge just the tiniest bit of lipstick and you've wrecked it.

That sounds awful. Why does anyone bother with that?

Because they want to?
Or feel like they have to, sometimes.

I don't want them to feel that way, but I suppose there's no way to stop it. Is there?
