It depends on which area of the States you live in. It can get pretty hot in Texas and Florida during summer, but the weather is milder in the more northern states.

I'll be teaching Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students Defence against the Dark Arts this year. It's nice to meet you Ms Serket.

I used to work with the American Ministry of Magic; my work required me to travel, so I didn't really have a set place to stay. But I guess when I wasn't working, I'd be in Portland. It's a city in the state of Oregon, which is in the north west part of the States.

It doesn't mean that we won't bump into each other during the school year. Professor Donaghue's also a better teacher than I am by virtue of experience, so you're not missing much.
