(Hehehe) Apparently I missed quite the brouhaha! Mum and I have been skimming over what we missed. And I must say, really, the things some people talk about in public forums! Shocking! (Hehehehe)

If anyone's wondering why I haven't been writing, it's because I forgot to pack my journal. I hope none of you have been waiting on me. Mum decided we should go camping. I seem to have also missed an official school camp! From the sounds of things, that wasn't exactly a bad thing, haha. On the other hand, it probably would have meant a lot less wandering around lost in the countryside.

Do they make braille maps? Mum's terrible with them.

So it started with individual students. Any students in particular? Were any of the staff affected?

Erm. Me, for one. A handful of others. I was a little too busy firing jinxes at first years to notice.

As far as I'm aware none of the staff were hit.

Soon as I got away from the camp I didn't have any idea why I'd been so worked up. Shinra broke someone's nose. Shinra.

Haha, point in the area effect column. Yeah, I heard. Whatever caused this could be very dangerous in the wrong hands... Not quite as bad as it might be if it could affect reason as well as behavior, but still pretty bad...

The professors don't seem to have much more of an idea about what caused it than the rest of us.

All the more reason everyone should help the investigation, wouldn't you say?

Where was camp, anyway? The location might have something to do with what happened, who knows.

Greg and I thought that it might be the Imperius Curse but I don't know why anyone would waste their time doing something like that to a group of teenagers. Seems a bit futile to me.

I can't remember the name of the town it was near but it was only a small place. Very touristy.

Hm. They might be practicing for something bigger. A summer camp hosted by Hogwarts? I don't know what the reality of the situation was, but it sounds very like "our security's not as tight as normal, but we still take it seriously"; and at the same time, they probably didn't expect teenagers fighting among themselves as something that would get investigated after the fact. It's a perfect setup for a dry run.

Ha, even the place sounds perfect! Small enough to locate the target, but touristy enough to blend in.

Teenagers fighting amongst themselves, perhaps not, but when there are hexes being fired about and some kid loses an eye, how can there not be an investigation? Even the worst of us wouldn't behave like that under normal circumstances.

I don't suppose you've brought up your suspicions to any of the professors.

Possibly the spell was stronger than they expected it to be, or they didn't expect you to have your wands as it was summer hols. Still sounds like a dry run.

I happen to know that it has, and I would recommend Professor Coulson, or Professor Donoghue. They seem to be rather on top of things.

Hm. Coulson's the new DADA professor, right? It would make sense for them to be the most on top of things...

I couldn't say. They might just give us enough information to keep us placated, to keep our parents happy, but not all of it. That's what I'd do.
