(Hehehe) Apparently I missed quite the brouhaha! Mum and I have been skimming over what we missed. And I must say, really, the things some people talk about in public forums! Shocking! (Hehehehe)

If anyone's wondering why I haven't been writing, it's because I forgot to pack my journal. I hope none of you have been waiting on me. Mum decided we should go camping. I seem to have also missed an official school camp! From the sounds of things, that wasn't exactly a bad thing, haha. On the other hand, it probably would have meant a lot less wandering around lost in the countryside.

Do they make braille maps? Mum's terrible with them.

Do you remember anything about how that came about? Any idea what kind of hex would make make people act like that?

You're right. The nose is quite fragile, relatively speaking.

And I know that it happened during the food fight, but I've been talking with Captor and neither of us can say why we were fighting in the first place. All I remember is that I was very angry with him at the time. I'm not sure what sort of hex that might have been. Or if we were even hexed to begin with. Do you know much about hexes?

I'm not as up on the dark arts as a future auror ought to be, I have to say. I know some things. I could stand to know a lot more--but it's pretty clear something hex-y happened. It was worse than a jinx, but doesn't seem quite as extreme as a curse.

So something that would affect emotions... Sounds a bit like a perversion of a cheering charm. Hmm. How did the fight go down? Did everyone erupt, or did a few people start at each other and then things just spiraled out of control from there? It would be useful to know if it was something cast on individuals, or if it was cast on the area.

Can you alter the nature of a charm? I didn't think it was possible, but maybe it would be if you understood the wording well enough. And I think you're right about it being a sort of hex. The effects weren't noticeable enough for it to have been a curse. In fact, I don't think I really noticed them at all until they were dispelled.

Looking back, I don't think everyone became aggressive at once, but I can't be sure. It all happened very quickly and I think I may have been a little preoccupied at the time.

Maybe. Maybe it's a new, or little-known hex.

Hm. If it was cast on individuals, maybe the camp was actually infiltrated somehow... Damn, I wish I understood this stuff a bit better. I need to explore the area.

Shinra, Kirkland said he can't remember the name of the town they held the camp outside of. Can you?

Possibly. I can't say I know very much about hex development, but I could do some research for you. I don't imagine you'd have access to the right kind of library right now.

I suppose an infiltration is a possibility and it does make sense, given what we know, but why would anyone want to infiltrate a summer camp?

And yes! The camp was somewhere near [Name of town here. I don't think the town was named.]

Dry run. They wanted to test their spell before they used it on their real target. Can you imagine if that had been cast on like an international meeting of diplomats or something? The camp probably had enough security to make the test challenging, but not so hard they'd fear actually getting caught. Because why would anyone infiltrate a summer camp, after all?
