I would like to make sure my prefects know that abusing any privileges won't go over well. Not that I imagine any of you would. Just a friendly reminder. Also I'm exc33dingly glad to be your Head of House my dear Hufflepuffs. I know many people who came from our house that have grown into wonderful people. I hope to s33 you all do the same.

On a different note, I hope you all have done your essays. School is nearly here! Remember, I want an essay on one magical creature that lives near you, in as much detail as possible.

My train of thought was directed more towards the creatures on my father's ranch. There are a few pegasi that I would not mind observing.

You can use those. I merely excluded Nepeta from using kneazles since she has an unfair advantage with those. Pegasi would work quite well.

I've been investigating rumors of a Cù Sith that lives near my town. It's been around for a while and I've found a little information about it in the old papers!

It's okay, Professor. I'll be honest and say it kind of slipped my mind since I've been preoccupied with the Struggle tournaments and helping my Muggle friends out with their homework too that I completely forgot about mine.

Well that does make things difficult. Is there a park nearby? Or a wizarding household? If you can't find anything worth note at home, pick one you've had any personal experience with and write about that.

I'd suggest a makeup assignment but it's not really fair to you since it would have to be after school started.

It might. I'd say look for gnomes or if you're ambitious, bowtruckles. Though I doubt there's any in Hyde Park. Horklump if you can't find gnomes--though if you find Horklumps you're likely to find gnomes. And I suppose if in despair, flobberworms aren't picky about where they live.

Still, if all else fails, write me the essay about whatever magical animal you know best.
