I would like to make sure my prefects know that abusing any privileges won't go over well. Not that I imagine any of you would. Just a friendly reminder. Also I'm exc33dingly glad to be your Head of House my dear Hufflepuffs. I know many people who came from our house that have grown into wonderful people. I hope to s33 you all do the same.

On a different note, I hope you all have done your essays. School is nearly here! Remember, I want an essay on one magical creature that lives near you, in as much detail as possible.

Thank you. I have to admit that I'm a little apprehensive of the incoming semester, but I'm glad to know that there are professors out there who are willing to offer assistance.

Well, this is my first job in the teaching profession. I'm afraid I don't know much about interacting with students.

I can't tell you how to teach but some advice? Simply be yourself. Try not to let the class get out of control but expect students to be outspoken at times.

And treat them fairly. If you're fair, don't pick favorites and don't show any obvious bias, you'll gain their respect. At least for the most part. There will always be the few that expect everything for no effort.

What would you suggest I do if I had to deal with stubborn students?

Stubborn in what way? Rebellious? Won't do their school work? Disrupting class? Or simply refusing to comply?

Refusing to comply to what I ask them to do, be it to pay attention in class or do their homework?

Well you warn and perhaps dock points first and foremost. If the situation continues, detentions. Give them plenty of explanation for why you are doing the things you do. The worst thing you can do is give detentions or dock points without explaining their full crime. They might learn nothing at all if they think they are being punished for one thing and it is really another.
