(no subject)

I'm not going to bother informing you that school is close. I'm certain you're all very aware of that fact, and no, I'm not assigning any last minute work. Even if I would greatly appreciate it if you arrive at school at least having read the first chapter of your books.

I do have an announcement, however.

Dumbledore has recently informed me that I have been granted the position as Slytherin Head of House. It's not unexpected, seeing as I'm the best option, but I'm pleased all the same.

[The next bit is filtered to just Vriska.]

I've got all your books and other supplies, as well as some new robes waiting at our home. I also got Nicholas a new terrarium.

And I have a few spare eyepatches if you want one.

I see.

[Tiny inkdrops. Of course. Not all the students could figure it out, but Sybille was Vriska's aunt, of course she could put 4 and 4 together and get 8]

I could say I have no idea what you mean 8ut really that would just 8e an insult to 8oth our intelligence.

...could I ask you to filter this for me Professor?
taleweaving: (Then I heard your voice as clear as day)

Thank you.

[Glad of that as she is, Aranea can't help but worry about what she's about to be told, knowing Sybille won't hold back.]

I... see.. [that actually stings a bit. Her mother had refused to ever speak of her father, and to have someone tell her the blunt and painful truth stings]

... was there a8solutely no good in him at all Professor? After all there Your sister must have [she can't think of the words she wants, of course now would be the time for her brain to fail]

[There is a long pause, Aranea's quill moving away from the page so it doesn't drip ink every where. Aranea feels cold. The world is quiet and she feels cold. She never had the most idealic view of her father, though she always tried to believe it was his other commitments that made him leave, and really, had he stayed Vriska wouldn't exist. But it's cold and it hurts.

But finally.]

I have to go Professor. Thank you for your time.
