Father went back to Norway for part of the summer and I bet none of you will BELIEVE what he brought back!

Weapons! Viking weapons! Also helmets! They are so beautifully made and terribly good for running into things with! He also brought back a hammer but

I can't lift it.

It's as if it's charmed to the ground. I've been trying for weeks to pick it up and I've got blisters on my fingers.

According to legend, one must be worthy to lift the hammer. Am I not worthy or something? How does one become worthy?

In stories the hero always sees that there's more than just himself. That there's a reason he's got the powers, or the weapon, and he sees what to do with them.

A lot of times it involves a love interest.

He...got me a present? Why? Not that I'm not grateful, but I can't imagine why he'd get me anything.

Oh. I don't think I have a reason for a hammer.. Or a love interest. THIS SUCKS.

Oh, yeah. But that's more in fairytales, and I don't know what wizard ones are like.
