♕ 2nd Queen♕

Well, my trunk is packed, Thistle and Fern have been taken to the vet for check ups, and my robes are neatly pressed and waiting.

I finally feel prepared for Hogwarts this year. And I'm even planing on trying out for Quidditch Keeper this year, because not only will it look good when I finish, but mumsie thinks I should try to have more friends than just Madeline and Arthur.

Seems like everyone wants to try for Quidditch this year.

I didn't even know you knew how to play Quidditch.

Do you want any help for tryouts? I could give you some Flying tips, I'm not half bad at it.

Right. How about Saturday afternoon then? Also, what sort of broom do you have? Have you had any experience as a Keeper?

That's a good broom; the Cleansweep Eleven's got great acceleration speed. I don't think you'll be needing that, but it's also easier to fly. Not as good as the Firebolt or the Nimbus, but still decent.

I'll teach you some things to look out for then. Chasers are sly buggers, they've got their own tricks up their sleeves when it comes to getting that Quaffle pass you.

Yeah, I do a little. Not so much when I'm back home, but Flying's a subject I'm decent in. I'll teach you some of the basics, and we'll see where we go from there. Maybe Arthur and you can help each other too.

Thanks.

We can try that, but first I've got to check where you all stand. Maybe we can get together for a second practice instead. Plus, it's harder to teach when you've got to split your attention between two people. I don't know how the teachers handle a whole class.

You don't know many {inkblots.] I'm glad I've got your vote of confidence then. Wish I could say the same for myself. I mean, part of the reason why I offered is because I know you and Arthur will at least give what I have to say a go. Can't say the same for some other people I know off.

Really? I've never thought of myself as a particular patient bloke. I tend to say the things on my mind, rather than think it through first. Dad says the reckless streak in me is gonna get me in trouble one day. Can't help but agree with him, the way I sometimes shoot my own foot with my mouth.

You're one of the rare exceptions, and that's only because at the end of the day I know you've always got something good to say, even though you lace it with all that teasing.

And don't get any ideas; it doesn't mean I'm saying the teasing's alright. It's still bloody irritating.

I'm working on it. I think I'm better than when I first started.

Oh my God Victoria, didn't we have this conversation during summer? Just because I said something nice doesn't mean I'm trying to hit on you! Do you do this to every single bo

...you're teasing me again, aren't you.

Not quick enough, unfortunately.

Well I'm glad to know that I'm not going to "perish" then. I didn't know that catching people out when they're pulling your leg has become a survival skill.

I was not bullied into trying out.

I prefer to think of it as 'forceful persuasion'.
